摘要： A screen system for use with a sliding panel of a window or door is used to screen an opening as the sliding panel or door is opened. The screen is attached to the edge of the sliding panel adjacent the opening, and is wound onto a spindle. The spindle is rotatably mounted adjacent the screen opening around which the screen is wound so that the screen can be unwound from or wound onto the spindle. A cord is connected between the sliding panel and the spindle pulley via an idler pulley. In this arrangement the spindle is caused to rotate so as to wind the screen back onto the spindle as the sliding panel is slid towards the closed position. Whilst the screen is wound off the spindle, the cord is wound onto the spindle pulley and vice versa. As the A tension adjustment arrangement can also be provided that is configured to adjust the tension in the cable as the screen is wound and unwound from the spindle due to the change in diameter of the cord around the spindle pulley.

摘要： An indicating device (100) for displaying temperature history of an object over time includes, a reservoir (40) of indicating material secured with respect to said object, the indicating material being solid below a predetermined temperature and liquid at or above this predetermined temperature; a wicking member (30) arranged with respect to the reservoir so that the indicating material is able to migrate from the reservoir through the wicking member to a peripheral portion spaced from the reservoir; and indicator means spaced from the reservoir so that migration of the indicating material to the indicator means indicates a predetermined temperature history; wherein said indicator means includes a barrier member (20) located on the wicking member and having a barrier region positioned between the reservoir and said peripheral portion of the wicking member and wherein said barrier member prevents viewing of the migration of the indicating material through the wicking member until it migrates past said barrier region of the barrier member.

摘要： A syringe retraction arrangement adapted to automatically retract a syringe (2) into a container (40) upon full depression of a plunger (20) of the syringe into the syringe thereby avoiding the potential for needle stick injuries. The syringe (2) is resiliently biased to retract into the container and has a retaining arrangement to prevent it retracting and has release means for the retaining arrangement which are engaged upon complete depression of the plunger to operate the release means. The arrangement has a sleeve assembly (41, 42) to receive the syringe with an aperture (45) at one end of the sleeve assembly through which the hypodermic needle extends in use, a pair of ears (55) on the sleeve on the end remote from the aperture. The ears are adapted to engage the end of the syringe barrel (23) remote from the hypodermic needle and to release the syringe barrel by disengagement with the end of the barrel when the ears are spread apart. A spring (37) moves the syringe barrel within the sleeve assembly to withdraw the hypodermic needle into the sleeve tube when the end of the syringe barrel is released from the ears.

摘要： A lockable shield assembly for a syringe is described. The lockable shield assembly includes a moveable sleeve adapted to slide longitudinally along a body of the syringe from a retracted position where the needle of the syringe is exposed to an extended position wherein the moveable sleeve covers the needle. The assembly further includes a saddle member for attachment to the body of the syringe with the saddle member including a resilient tongue biased outwardly from the saddle member, wherein the resilient tongue engages with an abutment region located on the inner surface of the moveable sleeve to prevent retraction of the moveable sleeve when it has been moved to the extended position.
