摘要： A semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate having an active region and an isolation region. A gate structure is provided on the semiconductor device. First and second impurity regions are provided in the substrate on both sides of the gate structure. A pad electrode is provided to contact the first impurity region. Because the pad electrode is provided on the first impurity region of the semiconductor device, the contact plug does not directly contact the active region. Accordingly, failures caused by damage to the active region may be prevented.

摘要： A transparent display device includes a liquid crystal display (LCD) module and a transparent reflector. The LCD module includes an LCD panel having a liquid crystal layer, a light source providing light to the LCD panel, and a polarizing plate disposed between the light source and the LCD panel to polarize light from the light source. The transparent reflector and the LCD module are spaced apart. The transparent reflector displays the image by reflecting the image provided from the LCD panel. The transparency of the transparent reflector may be controlled, and the transparent reflector may have a curved shape.

摘要： An apparatus for extracting and creating a closed caption of a DTV stream in broadcasting and communication system, the apparatus comprising: a demultiplexer to receive the stream and demultiplex the received stream into additional information and a video stream; a decoder to receive and decode the video stream; an ST converter to receive PTS information, and convert PTS information into synchronization time information; a storage unit to store the demultiplexed additional information; an analyzer to receive the additional information and analyze CSD information; a closed caption extractor to receive the decoded data and the CSD information, and extract closed caption data; a closed caption file creator to create a closed caption file; a closed caption data processing unit to construct a segment-by-segment closed caption stream; a segmentation unit to construct a segment-by-segment stream; and a keyword search unit to provide the segment-by-segment stream corresponding to the keyword.
