摘要: An apparatus for steering a belt includes a steering roller supporting the belt, a rotatable element and a transmission. The steering roller is rotatable about a first axis and pivotable about a second axis, the second axis being substantial perpendicular to the first axis. The rotatable element is rotatable about a third axis, the third axis being parallel to the first axis. The transmission is arranged for converting a rotational motion of the rotatable element about the third axis into a pivoting motion of the steering roller about the second axis. The rotatable element is rotatable by a frictional force between a side portion of the belt and the rotatable element. A method for steering a belt in a steering mechanism includes such an apparatus.

摘要: An ink jet printhead which includes a line of nozzles arranged with a uniform first pitch in a line direction X, a plurality of parallel ink channels having an axial direction normal to said line direction X and arranged in groups within which they have a uniform second pitch, each ink channel being connected to one of said nozzles, and a plurality of actuators arranged in groups corresponding to those of the ink channels, each actuator being associated with one of the ink channels for pressurizing ink contained therein for expelling an ink droplet through the associated nozzle, wherein the ink channels are connected to their associated nozzles by flow passages which all have a substantially equal length and are inclined relative to said axial direction with varying angles in both, said line direction X and a scan direction Z being orthogonal to the line direction and the axial direction.

摘要: In a method for fusing a recording material on a medium, a fusing element is radiated close to and upstream from a fuse nip. Thus, the heat that is provided has very little time to penetrate the fusing element and thus remains at a surface of the fusing element. Therefore, the fusing element does not need to be heated thoroughly, which would require a substantial amount of time. Consequently, in the method, heat may be provided on demand and an energy efficient fuse method is thus provided.

摘要: An ink jet device utilizing hot melt ink, said device including an ink reservoir, a heater arranged to heat ink contained in the ink reservoir, and a ventilation conduit which is connected to a ventilation opening in a top wall of the ink reservoir, said ventilation conduit containing a channel running upwards through a heated area. The ink jet device includes an ink melting unit for supplying melted ink to the ink reservoir, said ink melting unit being arranged to enable melted ink to flow into the ink reservoir from above, said channel of the ventilation conduit being in thermal contact with the ink melting unit.

摘要: An apparatus for steering a belt includes a steering roller supporting the belt, a rotatable element and a transmission.
