    摘要: In a door mirror device for a vehicle, an engaging ring that rotates together with a case is provided on an interior floor portion of the case. A restricting ring is provided at the upper side of the engaging ring and is urged toward the lower side by a coil spring. The restricting ring is movable to a side in an axial direction of a support shaft of a stand, but relative rotation of the restricting ring with respect to the support shaft is restricted. Therefore, in a state in which upper side protrusion portions of the engaging ring go out from restricting recess portions of the restricting ring, the restricting ring is moved toward the upper side. Consequently, movement of the case toward the upper side can be suppressed.

    摘要: In a door mirror device for a vehicle, a stopper groove of a case and a stopper of a stand are provided so as to be superposed with a restricting ring in an axial direction of a support shaft of the stand. Therefore, in comparison with a structure in which the stopper groove of the case and the stopper of the stand are provided at the outer side in an axis-orthogonal direction (radial direction) of the support shaft of the stand relative to the restricting ring and an engaging ring, an increase in size of the case and stand to a side in the axis-orthogonal direction of the support shaft may be suppressed.

    摘要: At a vehicle door mirror device, an inner wall of a mirror holder is nipped between a supporting surface of an inner case and a contacting surface of a support pivot, and a peripheral wall of the mirror holder is made to press-contact a peripheral wall of a case. Here, at a time when the mirror holder is rotated, the support pivot is displaced toward a vehicle rear side, and nipping of the inner wall between the supporting surface and the contacting surface is cancelled, and press-contacting of the mirror holder peripheral wall against the case peripheral wall is cancelled. Therefore, frictional force between the supporting surface and the contacting surface and the inner wall, and frictional force between the case peripheral wall and the mirror holder peripheral wall, can be reduced effectively.

    摘要: In a vehicle door mirror device, a through hole of a case is penetrated by a support shaft so as to rotatably support the case on the support shaft. Lower ribs are formed in a protruding state at a peripheral face of the through hole, and protrusion leading end faces of the lower ribs are capable of contacting the support shaft. A gap dimension between the peripheral face of the through hole and the support shaft can accordingly be made small, thereby enabling rattling of the case with respect to the support shaft to be suppressed. Moreover, the contact surface area between the peripheral face of the through hole and the support shaft can be made small, thereby enabling an increase in sliding resistance between the peripheral face of the through hole and the support shaft to be suppressed.

The projection leading end faces of the second contact ribs have a smaller gap dimension to a support tube of a support shaft than gap dimension of the projection leading end faces of the first contact ribs to the support tube in a state in which a drive body is not tilted with respect to the support shaft. This thereby enables tilting of the drive body with respect to the support shaft to be effectively suppressed.

Butyl tape spans between a portion of the coil spring on an upper side of a gap and a portion of the coil spring on a lower side of the gap such that vibration of the coil spring is suppressed. Accordingly, the sound is able to be damped.

    摘要: In a vehicle door mirror device, when a fitting recess portion and a fitting protrusion portion fit, a gap is formed between an orthogonal face and an opposing face due to a fitting recess portion and a fitting protrusion portion contacting along case rotating direction. Accordingly, even when the fitting protrusion portion wears and external shape becomes smaller, the fitting recess portion and the fitting protrusion portion are contacted and fitted until the gap disappears. The gap is set larger than a gap between a visor and a stay. Therefore, the fitting recess portion and the fitting protrusion portion contact along the case rotating direction even when the visor contacts the stay, due to presence of the gap. Accordingly, even when the visor contacting the stay is taken as useful life indicator of the device, rattling of the visor against the stay can be suppressed at this stage.

    摘要: In a door mirror device for a vehicle, when a driving body is moved rotationally towards an upper side, a gear plate is moved towards a lower side so that urging force applied from a coil spring to the driving body is decreased. In contrast, when the driving body is moved rotationally towards the lower side, the gear plate is moved towards the upper side so that the urging force applied from the coil spring to the driving body is increased. As a result, it is possible to reduce a difference between a load that is applied in order to move the driving body rotationally towards the upper side and the load that is applied in order to move the driving body rotationally towards the lower side.
