摘要: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm and a mirror head at one end of the mounting arm distal from an attachment portion of the mounting arm that is configured for attachment at a vehicle. A mirror reflective element is fixedly attached at the mirror head. An innermost side of the mirror reflective element is attached at a front side of an attachment plate. The mirror reflective element moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm when the driver of the vehicle operates an electrically-operable actuator. The attachment plate includes wall structure that extends from the front side of the attachment plate and circumscribes and spans the perimeter circumferential edge of the glass substrate and does not encroach onto and does not overlap the front surface of the glass substrate of the exterior mirror reflective element.

摘要: The present invention includes a stationary member, a movable member, a holding member, and a driving member. The stationary member has a stationary-side spherical surface. The movable member has a movable-side spherical surface. The stationary-side spherical surface and the movable-side spherical surface together forms a gap. The stationary-side spherical surface and the movable-side spherical surface are interposed with a sealant, which seals the gap. Consequently, the present invention allows smooth adjustment of an angle of a mirror surface, and prevention of water penetrating inside.

The adjustment device comprises a base for coupling to a vehicle; a frame pivotably coupled to the base about a first pivot axis and a second pivot axis; and a drive unit for driving the frame pivotally about the first pivot axis and the second pivot axis. The drive unit comprises a first electromotor connected to a first driven element for driving the frame in rotation about the first pivot axis, and a second electromotor connected to a second driven element for driving the frame in rotation about the second pivot axis. The second electromotor has a lower maximum power consumption compared to a maximum power consumption of the first electromotor.

摘要: A smart driver safety system for a vehicle is described. The system includes a drowsy driver detector, an attention diversion monitor, an automatic mirror adjustment subsystem, and a plurality of actuators. The drowsy driver detector determines a head position of the driver and detects an eye position of the driver's eyes. When the driver's eyes are closed, the drowsy driver detector determines a time duration of an eye closure and compares the time duration to a drowsiness threshold. When the eye closure exceeds the drowsiness threshold, the drowsy driver detector generates a drowsiness alert signal. The attention diversion monitor detects an attention diversion based on the eye position and the eye closure and generates an attention diversion alert signal. The automatic mirror adjustment subsystem adjusts a side mirror of the vehicle based on the eye position and the head position.

摘要: A mirror reflective element sub-assembly for use in an exterior rearview mirror assembly of a vehicle includes a mirror reflective element, a mirror reflector and a mirror back plate disposed at the rear side of the mirror reflective element. A heater pad is disposed between the mirror reflective element and the mirror back plate and has a light transmitting portion that is aligned with an aperture of the mirror back plate. A blind spot indicator module includes a body portion and a connector portion extending laterally from the body portion. Light emitted by at least one light emitting diode passes through the light transmitting portion of the heater pad and through a light-transmitting portion of the mirror reflector and exits the mirror reflective element to provide a visual icon visible to a driver of the vehicle who is driving the vehicle and who is viewing said mirror reflective element.

摘要: An adjustable vehicle mirror assembly uses a revolution sensor for detecting revolutions of an element in a mirror rotation drive chain. A control circuit uses the revolution sensor control rotation of the mirror to a preset orientation by counting revolutions and controlling a motor power supply and its direction dependent on whether the count indicates that the count of revolutions has reached a preset value. At power down, power up or when a new preset value is defined the control circuit switches to an overrule state in order to calibrate an offset. The control circuit continues operating in the overrule state until a rotation coupling in the mirror assembly reaches a disengaged state or stalls.

The first reflector lens is secured on the first plane of the first contacting portion, and the reflector lens assembly includes a second contacting portion, a universal connector, and a second reflector lens.
