摘要： A valve has a housing provided with an inlet for pressurized fluid, a valve seat having a seating surface, and a valve member exposed to the incoming pressurized fluid and having a cooperating surface juxtaposed and normally in engagement with the seating surface. At least one of these surfaces is provided with a shallow recess in which a conduit terminates which communicates with the inlet so as to admit into the recess sufficient pressurized fluid to lift the valve member off the valve seat. A control valve is interposed in the conduit and can be operated to permit the flow of pressurized fluid therethrough and into the recess.
