Abstract:
A disinfecting cover for use in disinfecting a weight bearing upper surface of a resilient medical patient pressure redistribution support includes a thin barrier membrane drapable on top of the weight bearing upper surface of the resilient support, and a peripherally-extending edge terminating between the peripherally-extending side of the resilient support between the weight bearing upper surface and the bottom surface of the support. The thin barrier membrane comprises an anti-microbial disinfectant, and being non-fibrous, and impervious to the transfer of fluid from the first main surface to the second main surface. The thin barrier membrane comprises a thickness operable to maintain the weight distribution of a patient on the weight bearing upper surface of the resilient medical patient pressure redistribution support substantially the same compared to the weight distribution without the thin barrier membrane.

Abstract:
Mattress assemblies include a mattress core assembly and a nested, zipperless mattress ticking assembly for covering the mattress core assembly and a nested, zipperless mattress ticking assembly for covering the mattress core assembly. The nested, zipperless mattress ticking assembly includes an upper mattress ticking assembly having a top side extending over a top side of the mattress core assembly and a peripheral portion extending over a portion of the peripherally-extending side of the mattress core assembly, and a lower mattress ticking assembly having a bottom side extending over the bottom side of the mattress core assembly and a peripheral portion extending over a portion of the peripherally-extending side of the mattress core assembly. The peripheral portions of the upper and lower mattress ticking assemblies overlap each other along the peripherally-extending side of the mattress core assembly. The mattress assembly meets the flammability standards of the 16 CFR 1633.
Abstract:
A mattress wherein a plurality of independent yarn based fire barrier fabrics encases a plurality of distinct and unattached interior core structures. The plurality of interior core structures include at least a detached and internally flippable upper comfort layer assembly with a plurality of non-homogeneous foams or filling materials encased in a yarn-based fire barrier fabric and a lower, interiorly disposed support core structure with resilient filling materials encased in a yarn-based fire barrier fabric and a fabric cover. The detachable and internally flippable upper comfort layer assembly may be contained in a user accessible compartment that is fashioned into an outer cover assembly.
Abstract:
Detachable and reversible mattress ticking assembly may be constructed so as to provide consumers the ability self-modify the orientation of the reversible mattress ticking so as to enjoy dissimilar performance attributes that the reversible ticking assembly or to merely extend the useful service life of the mattress ticking assembly when one side or the other becomes worn or aesthetically diminished.

Abstract:
Knitted fire barrier fabrics for use in forming a flame retardant article having a core include, for example, a plurality of flame-retardant yarns formed non-uniformly around a circumference of a knitting textile cylinder in a knitting process so as to define the knitted fire barrier fabric having at least one differential zone of material in a longitudinal direction of the knitting textile cylinder, and wherein the knitted fire barrier fabric being disposable on the core so that the at least one differential zone of material of the knitted fire barrier fabric providing a differential protective capacity to at least one selected portion of the flame retardant article.
