摘要:
A coin slide assembly in which an upper assembly and a lower assembly releasably connected together define a guide passage for the movement of a coin slide, and the movement of the coin slide, without the proper coin combination inserted, beyond a limit is prevented by a blocking means that inserts an obstruction into the guide passage. The blocking means is responsive to the presence of the proper coin combination inserted in the coin slide to remove the obstruction from the guide passage and thereby allow movement of the coin slide beyond such limit to a position for activating the coin-controlled device.

A coin meter having a rotary coin carrier that accepts and deposits coins of different denominations, one at a time, and is coupled to a time-setting member that establishes the operating cycle duration of a controlled device according to the value of the coins deposited. Initiation and termination of the operating cycle is effected by switches controlled by a timer cooperating with the time-setting member.

An appliance timer in which the timer control shaft is rotated to initiate a cycle of operation by the action of a coin slide upon a cam. The cam is connected to a collar coupled to the timer shaft, and is rotatable relative to the collar. A spring resiliently biases the cam for engagement with the head of a screw securing the collar to the timer shaft, so that when the coin slide is advanced forward the cam turns the timer shaft to a cycle starting position, and when the coin slide is withdrawn, the cam turns in the reverse direction to allow return of the coin slide to its starting position.

An anti-pick lock assembly in which the rotor of a tumbler lock is biased toward its locking position by a torsion spring. The spring bias force is sufficient to prevent the tumbler rotor from being set at a displacement within the working tolerance of the internal lock parts that allows the code pins to be manipulated one at a time into their release positions by a pick tool.

A switching device for a coin controlled machine in which a drive member, movable in unison with the coin slide, has two alternately selectable configurations for operating a pair of series connected switches that control the machine. In one configuration, the drive member displaces cams that actuate the switches to establish conduction through both switches after a given number of coin slide insertions. In the other configuration, the drive member engages contact members extending from the switches to establish conduction through both switches after a single coin slide insertion.

This disclosure is directed to a tumbler lock having relatively movable lock members and associated locking pins or tumblers which are required to be displaced a predetermined amount to permit relative movement between the complementary locking members in which there is operatively connected to one of the relatively movable lock members a biasing member for imparting a limited biasing force on the movable lock member to resist initial movement of the movable lock member toward the open position of the lock to prohibit a would-be lock picker from setting up the lock pins and picking the lock.

This disclosure is directed to a method of coding a tumbler lock and key adapted therefor, and to a tumbler lock code pin the key coding set. The coding set comprises a support for holding a tumbler lock to permit ready access to the code pins. Identifying indicia are located on the support to identify the respective positions of each lock code pin. A key adapted to fit the keyway of the lock is formed with a series of complementary flutes, each being adapted to receive a similarly constructed key blade. An identifying member is removably positioned on the key to identify the complementary, corresponding key flutes adapted to receive the respective code pins of the lock. A gage is provided to effect the adjustment of the ''''set-back'''' distance of the respective key blades within their respective key flutes. The gage includes a series of selective gaging edges to effect displacement or adjustment of the respective key blades in the ''''set-back'''' position a distance equal to the displacement of the complementary code pin necessary to effect the operation of the lock.
