A sliding guide shoe includes at least a body part, which includes at least a slide pad space for a slide pad as well as at least one fixing part for fixing the sliding guide shoe to its base. The body part is essentially the same in its cross-sectional profile throughout its whole length. An elevator is also provided with the sliding guide shoe.

The invention refers to an elevator comprising an elevator car and a suspension arrangement for suspending and/or moving an elevator car, which suspension arrangement comprises at least one suspension member, whereby at least one suspension member component is provided which component is to be applied to the suspension member for affecting the physical properties of the suspension member during the operation of the elevator. According to the invention the suspension member component applied to the suspension member comprises an component identifier which is an addition to the suspension member component which component identifier is configured to be identified visibly or via additional tools. The invention allows the unambiguous identification of the suspension member component and also the distribution of the component on the suspension member surface.
Abstract:
An oil collector for a guide rail, its use and a method for collecting lubricating oil from a guide rail are disclosed. The oil collector includes a receiving element for receiving the lubricating oil flowing along the guide rail, the receiving element including a portion formed to be set against the guide rail. The oil collector is wherein the receiving element includes a block of absorbent material absorbing the lubricating oil. The oil collector can further include a releasable fastening member for pressing the block of absorbent material against the guide rail thereby securing the block of absorbent material in place.
