Abstract: A phototherapy monitoring device (10) includes a housing (12) configured for attachment to a patient, and a user interfacing device. An optical bilimbin sensor (14) includes one or more light sources (16) operative to generate probe light and arranged on or in the housing such that the probe light is reflected from or transmitted through skin of the patient when the housing is attached to the patient; and one or more photodetectors (18) arranged on or in the housing to detect the probe light reflected from or transmitted through the skin of the patient. At least one electronic processor (28) is disposed on or in the housing and programmed to: continuously generate a current bilimbin level measurement from the detected probe light reflected from or transmitted through the skin of the patient; and control the user interfacing device to generate a notification when the current bilirubin level measurement satisfies a safe bilimbin level.

Abstract: An improved X-ray imaging system. The system comprises an X-Ray radiation source configured to emit an X-ray beam towards an object to be imaged and an X- ray detector configured to detect X-rays which have passed through the object. It further comprises a reconstruction processing means configured to reconstruct an image of the object based on the detected X-rays, wherein the reconstruction processing means is further configured to determining presence of at least one foreign object located in the object or located between a surface of the object and the X-Ray radiation source and/or the X-ray detector, obtaining a three-dimensional profile of the determined foreign object from a server-based foreign object database, and reconstructing an image of the object by acquiring a plurality of projection images of the object from the X-ray detector and reducing impact on image quality of an artefact that can be caused by the foreign object in the image of the object based on at least the obtained three-dimensional profile of the foreign object.

Abstract: The present invention relates to mobile imaging. In order to provide a mobile medical imaging system (100) with improved positioning characteristics, A positioning arrangement (126) is provided. The positioning arrangement comprises at least one positioning sensor (128). The at least one positioning sensor determines a current distance between a mobile structure of a mobile medical imaging system and at least one object in an environment of the mobile medical imaging system. The at least one positioning sensor operates in a first mode if a current distance is greater than a predetermined threshold, and/or in a second mode, if the current distance is smaller than the predetermined threshold. In the first mode, the at least one positioning sensor operates at a first spatial resolution, and, in the second mode, the at least one positioning sensor operates at a second spatial resolution, which second spatial resolution differs from the first spatial resolution.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile X-ray device, comprising: a housing with an X-ray source arranged therein, a sensor system comprising one or more sensors for aligning the X-ray source to an object to be scanned and/or detecting at least one extrinsic object in a predefined area in a vicinity of the X-ray beam of the X-ray source; a processor unit comprising determining the alignment of the X-ray source and the object to be scanned based on signals received from the sensor system; image acquisition for generating an X-ray image; activating a blockage signal for the mobile X-ray device based on signals received from the sensor system; and an interface for outputting the generated X-ray image and/or information; wherein image acquisition is blocked, if the sensor system signals one of the following: at least one extrinsic object is detected within the predefined area; lack of alignment between the X-ray source and the object to be scanned.
