Abstract: This invention relates to a carbon dioxide absorbing composition including a sterically hindered alkanolamine, and to a method and apparatus for absorbing carbon dioxide using the same, wherein in a process and apparatus for absorbing and recovering carbon dioxide from a gas mixture including carbon dioxide, a solid-phase bicarbonate crystal including high-concentration carbon dioxide is crystallized from a carbon dioxide absorbing composition having absorbed carbon dioxide and is then selectively separated, thereby efficiently recovering and regenerating carbon dioxide.
