    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a metal hybrid, heat-dissipating material includes the steps of (a) preparing a spherical metal powder and a flake graphite powder having an aspect ratio greater than 1, respectively; (b) preparing a powder mixture by inserting only the spherical metal powder and the flake graphite powder into a container, followed by dry mixing the powder mixture using a multi-axial mixing method for rotating or vibrating the container about two or more different rotation axes without any liquid input and without any mixing aids; (c) manufacturing a green compact by pressing the powder mixture; and (d) sintering the green compact to provide the metal hybrid, heat-dissipating material.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an ultrasonic extrusion apparatus which causes resonance of an extrusion die using ultrasonic vibrations, thus reducing friction between the extrusion die and an extrusion material. The ultrasonic extrusion apparatus has an increased number of ultrasonic vibrators provided around the extrusion die in the circumferential direction to increase the vibration output, whereby when extruding a metal material such as a magnesium material, friction between the metal material and the extrusion die can be reduced, thus improving the performance of the extrusion process (preventing a reduction in an extrusion rate, generation of heat, cracking of a product, errors in measurements, etc.).

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for detecting a fault in a digitizer. The apparatus includes a function generator for generating test signals, a transmitting switch for transmitting the test signals generated by the function generator to a selective part or all of X- and Y-channels of a transmitting digitizer, a receiving digitizer arranged in a shape identical to that of the transmitting digitizer to be adjacent to the transmitting digitizer, the receiving digitizer receiving reception signals produced by the transmitting digitizer, a receiving switch for receiving resulting signals, generated by the receiving digitizer in response to the reception signals, from a selective part or all of X- and Y-channels of the receiving digitizer, a channel controller for controlling the transmitting switch and the receiving switch, a data collection unit for collecting the resulting signals, and an analysis unit for analyzing the collected resulting signals.
