Abstract: To provide an image forming system capable of preventing printing that is not intended by a user, an image forming system includes a server capable of storing image data and an image forming apparatus connected to the server via a network and configured to form an image. The image forming apparatus includes an inquiring unit, a determining unit, a requesting unit, and an instructing unit. The inquiring unit is configured to inquire the server for a printing condition of the image data in a case where an input of a registration ID is accepted by an accepting unit, the printing condition being registered in association with the image data. The requesting unit is configured to request the server for downloading of the image data in a case where the determining unit determines that the image forming apparatus conforms with the printing condition. The instructing unit is configured to control an image forming unit to form the image on a sheet, based on the image data downloaded from the server.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a data selector circuit that receives an instruction of a selection range from a serviceman via the operation unit and the display unit, and automatically selects data to be backed up in the external storage device in the selection range out of the pieces of data, a backup circuit that backs up the data selected by the data selector circuit out of the pieces of data in the external storage device being connected, and sends the data unselected by the data selector circuit to the database server for backup, and a restoring circuit that restores the data backed up in the external storage device in a first storage after replacement for the maintenance, then receives the data backed up in the database server, and restores the data in the first storage after replacement for the maintenance without the serviceman.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a CPU that executes the process execution program to function as a plurality of process execution units as threads and an execution control unit. The plurality of process execution units use the CPU to execute a process. The execution control unit controls executing of the process by the plurality of process execution units. The execution control unit sets a CPU usage priority level for each of the plurality of process execution units. The execution control unit changes the CPU usage priority level of the job of a type other than a specific type to a priority level that is equal to or less than a specific priority level, when the job of the specific type and the job of the type other than the specific type are simultaneously executed.
