Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a document feed section; a document reading section; a discharged document sensor detecting the discharged document already read by the document reading section; an image storage section storing a document image obtained through the reading by the document reading section; an image formation section performing an image formation operation in which a toner image of the document image is formed on paper; a fixing section performing fixing processing of heating and pressurizing the paper on which the image has been formed to fix the toner image on the paper; and a control section, upon judgment, with reference to a signal of the discharged document sensor before image formation of a predefined number of pages of document images stored in the image storage section, that the discharged document exists, stopping the image formation of the predefined number of pages of document images.

Abstract: In a communication system (Sy), mail information is transmitted from a portable terminal device (20) to an image forming apparatus (10) through short distance communication. In the image forming apparatus (10), the mail information is received at a first near field radio communication section (16) and stored into a first storage section (19), a destination address, a title, and a text are displayed on a screen of a first display section (12) based on the mail information, an e-mail is created by use of the destination address, the title, and the text on the screen selected through operation of a first operation section (14), image data is transmitted from a first network communication section (15) with the created e-mail, and then the mail information is erased from the first storage section (19).

Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, a cooperation processing unit performs a cooperation process according to an instruction from the travel expense reporting application of a terminal apparatus. The travel expense reporting application communicates with a travel expense reporting system that receives an electronic applying of a travel expense report. The cooperation processing unit (a) reads usage history data of public transportation from an IC card in accordance with an instruction received from the travel expense reporting application and transmits the usage history data to the travel expense reporting application, (b) scans an image of the original of a receipt in accordance with an instruction received from the travel expense reporting application, and (c) prints a document for a paper applying of a travel expense report that includes (c1) a usage history to be reported and (c2) the image of the original of the receipt.
