Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus includes a plurality of folding devices, a control unit that controls a job involving a folding process, and an input unit that accepts settings for the job from a user. The input unit accepts, from the user, specification of a priority preference out of a plurality of predetermined preferences related to the folding process. The control unit selects, out of the plurality of folding devices, a folding device that can perform the folding process with the settings for the job made by the user as a target folding device. If a plurality of target folding devices are present, then based on the priority preference, the control unit determines, out of the plurality of target folding devices, a folding device with which to perform the folding process.

Abstract: An image processing device includes: an estimated size setting section (ACS determination section 151) which sets a document size of a document sheet as an estimated size; a threshold deciding section (ACS determination section 151) which decides a first threshold according to the estimated size; and an ACS determination section (151) which determines that the document sheet is a color document sheet when a number of color pixels reaches the first threshold. When an actual size of the document sheet is smaller than the estimated size, the threshold deciding section decides a second threshold which is smaller than the first threshold, and the document sheet is determined to be a color document sheet when the number of color pixels is the second threshold or greater and is determined to be a black-and-white document sheet when the number of color pixels is smaller than the second threshold.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a container loading portion, a plurality of toner sensors, an access cover, an open/close sensor, and a control device that functions as a controller. The container loading portion is capable of being loaded with a plurality of toner containers containing the toner of the same color to be supplied to the image forming device. The access cover makes an opening/closing movement to open or close an interior of the container loading portion in replacing each of the toner containers loaded into the container loading portion. When, during execution of image formation of the image forming device, the open/close sensor detects that the access cover is open and none of the plurality of toner sensors detects an empty state of the associated toner container, the controller suspends the image formation of the image forming device.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes first storage, a writing controller, a reading controller, a conveyance section, a detector, and a main controller. The conveyance section conveys a recording medium. The detector detects an overrun. Write addresses are designated in a predefined sequence from among addresses. Read addresses are designated in the predefined sequence from among the addresses. The writing process and the reading process are performed in storage areas included in the first storage in a first order. The overrun indicates that the writing and reading processes are performed in the storage areas included in the first storage in a second order that is opposite to the first order. While the conveyance section conveys the recording medium, the main controller controls the writing controller or the reading controller based on a detection result of the detector.
