摘要: A luminescent solar collector comprises a sheet and a light energy converter operatively connected to the sheet, the sheet comprising a thermoplastic polymer and dispersed therein at least two dyes A and B; wherein dye A is a fluorescent dye of Formula (I) and dye B is either a perylene dye of Formula (II) or a diketopyrrolopyrrole dye of Formula (III): wherein R, m, R1, R2, R3, R4, and k are as described herein. The luminescent solar collector has improved output.

摘要: A luminescent solar collector is provided comprising a substrate and a light energy converter, such as a photocell, operatively connected thereto. The substrate is molded from a thermoplastic composition comprising a polymer and a fluorescent dye or quantum dot dispersed therein. The polymer comprises a polycarbonate unit and a polyester unit derived from the reaction of isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid, and resorcinol (ITR). In further embodiments, the substrate comprises two or more layers including a fluorescent layer and an overcoat layer. The fluorescent layer comprises the fluorescent dye or quantum dot and a polycarbonate polymer. The overcoat layer comprises the ITR unit. The substrate, in single layer or multiple layer form, has reduced haze levels over a prolonged period of time.
