摘要: For selectively removing nitrogen oxides from a carrier gas that contains hydrocarbons, the nitrogen oxides are removed by chemisorption on metal oxides, without the occurrence of undesirable secondary reactions. The metal oxides are preferably formed from metals of the 6th to 8th subgroups, whereby manganese dioxide (MnO.sub.2,) is especially preferred as a metal oxide. The process can be conducted with one or more reactor beds, which preferably operate at 10 to 40.degree. C. and are regenerated with nitrogen at a temperature of 130 to 170.degree. C.By removing nitrogen oxides from an olefin-rich gas, for example from the waste gas of an FCC unit, the resultant gas can then be fed to a cryogenic olefin extraction stage without danger of explosion.Such a waste gas contains unsaturated hydrocarbons, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and oxygen, the oxygen having a concentration preferably between 100 and 5000 mol ppm.

摘要: In a system and a method for postal matter processing, with automatic reception of postal matter in receiving stations and with a staggered postal matter processing, acquisition of shipping data and providing the postal matter with a machine-readable marking and storage of the mail take place in the receiving stations. The marked postal matter is transported to a remote distributing station having at least one franking means at which transfer of the shipping data allocated to the marking into a memory of the franking means ensues. The postal matter is franked in the distributing station according to the data that are stored in the memory allocated to the marking.

摘要: The invention concerns a diode-pumped solid-state ring laser gyroscope consisting of a diode-pumped solid-state laser made from a doped crystal or glass in the form of a square or cube for monoaxial or triaxial measurements; limitation and stabilization of the laser mode is achieved by precise matching of the pumping radiation to the mode volume of the ring laser. Outcoupling of the laser radiation is done by making the light tunnel through a slit to a dielectric plate which is moved by an actuator. Frequency modulation of the signal is done as required by coupling an acoustic wave into the laser medium or by precise spatial modulation of the diode excitation.
