The monochrome liquid crystal display drives the three sub pixels of each pixel independently aligned along the row of the monochrome LCD to display the display image of the pixels in q rows and (3*n*q/m) columns.

    摘要: The invention provides a technique enabling an image of high quality to be displayed while decreasing an effect of an outside light proceeding toward a back surface of PDP through a through hole for mounting an electric circuit on a chassis. A flat panel display of the invention includes a display panel, a metallic chassis having a through hole and joints for connecting the back surface of the display panel and the chassis to each other. The joints are on the back surface of the display panel distant from each other in a predetermined direction, and one of the joints is arranged at a position corresponding to the through hole of the chassis.

    摘要: The invention provides a technique enabling an image of high quality to be displayed while decreasing an effect of an outside light proceeding toward a back surface of PDP through a through hole for mounting an electric circuit on a chassis. A flat panel display of the invention includes a display panel, a metallic chassis having a through hole and joints for connecting the back surface of the display panel and the chassis to each other. The joints are on the back surface of the display panel distant from each other in a predetermined direction, and one of the joints is arranged at a position corresponding to the through hole of the chassis.

The projector light source comprising an arc tube for emitting a light beam; and a concave reflector including a hold part for holding the arc tube, and having a concave reflection surface for reflecting the light beam from the arc tube so that the light beam outgoes through an opening of the reflector, the concave reflector comprising a first reflector located in the vicinity of the hold part for holding the light emitting tube, and second reflector located in a part other than the hold part, and made of a material different from that of the first reflector. Further, the first reflector is made of heat-resistant glass, and the second reflector is made a material containing a heat-resistant organic material having a thermal deformation temperature which is lower than that of the heat-resistant glass.

    摘要: In a projector, the precision of color synthesis is improved and the generation of vertical stripes in the projected image is suppressed by a dichroic prism used for color synthesis that employs at least the following aspects. (1) The dichroic prism is formed using triangular prisms, in which projections or grooves are provided that have two faces parallel to two pasted faces of the triangular prisms, the projections or grooves being integrally injection-molded on faces of the triangular prisms that are substantially perpendicular to the light beam (i.e., the faces through which no light beam passes); (2) the dichroic prism is positioned using marks on the pasted faces of the triangular prisms; or (3) the dichroic prism is formed by engaging triangular prisms in which recesses or projections are formed.

    摘要: According to the present invention, the amount of usage of a heat conductive member for fixing a self-luminous flat display panel to a metallic chassis member disposed at the back of the display panel is reduced in the thickness direction as well as in the surface direction. The invention further provides a technique for efficiently radiating heat from the display panel, suppressing cost increase. To this end, in the invention, the heat conductive member is a hot-melt adhesive having adhesion at room temperature and filled with a heat conduction imparting agent, and the display panel is fixed to the chassis member by a plurality of heat conducting sections of the heat conductive member formed discretely ranging from 0.3 to 0.8 mm in thickness.

A display substrate comprises an optically transparent substrate disposed opposite to the back substrate; an accelerating electrode formed on the inner face of the optically transparent substrate for accelerating electron beams emitted from the electron emission elements; and luminescent materials excited by the electron beams to emit light toward the outer face of the optically transparent substrate. A frame member supports the back substrate and display substrate on their peripheries. A vacuum chamber is defined by the back substrate, display substrate, and frame member. A conductor electrically connected to the accelerating electrode is drawn out to the outside of the vacuum chamber. A high voltage connector for supplying an accelerating voltage to the conductor is removably connected to the conductor.
