    摘要: A game system as an information processing system includes a game apparatus and a controller, and the controller is attached with an attachment device. In a case that a slit plate of the attachment device is removed, the controller detects positions of high-intensity parts as to infrared ray output from markers provided on a monitor, and designates coordinates on the monitor screen thereby. Alternatively, in a case that the slit plate is loaded, when a card printed and so forth with a dot pattern is slid along a guide groove of the attachment device, a position of a high-intensity part of a plurality of dots to which infrared ray is irradiated is detected, so that information processing based on the dot pattern is executed.

    摘要: An information processing apparatus is set to always obtain information, even while an application is not being executed, and effectively using the obtained information. A state of the environment in a place where the information processing apparatus is present is detected. Detection data indicating the state of the environment detected by the detection section is stored. An operation mode is switched at least between a normal mode in which power is being supplied to the application execution section and the predetermined application can be executed, and a power saving mode in which at least supply of power to the application execution section is restricted and the predetermined application cannot be executed. At least in the power saving mode, a state of the environment is detected, and detection data indicating the state of the environment detected is stored in the first storage section at predetermined time intervals.

    摘要: A controller device is used for more information processes. The controller device is capable of wirelessly communicating with an information processing device. The controller device includes a communication unit, a display unit, and a program executing unit. The communication unit transmits, to the information processing device, operation data obtained based on an operation performed on the controller device, and receives, from the information processing device, image data generated in the information processing device through a process performed based on operation data. A display unit displays an image represented by the image data received from the information processing device. When a predetermined operation on the controller device is performed, the program executing unit executes a predetermined program and displays at least the image resulting from the execution of the program on the display unit. The communication unit transmits, to the information processing device, data indicating that the predetermined program is being executed.

The controller device includes a communication unit, a display unit, and a program executing unit. The communication unit transmits, to the information processing device, operation data obtained based on an operation performed on the controller device, and receives, from the information processing device, image data generated in the information processing device through a process performed based on operation data. A display unit displays an image represented by the image data received from the information processing device. When a predetermined operation on the controller device is performed, the program executing unit executes a predetermined program and displays at least the image resulting from the execution of the program on the display unit. The communication unit transmits, to the information processing device, data indicating that the predetermined program is being executed.

    摘要: An object enumerating apparatus comprises means for generating and binarizing inter-frame differential data from moving image data representative of a photographed object under detection, means for extracting feature data from a plurality of the inter-frame binary differential data directly adjacent to each other on a pixel-by-pixel basis through cubic higher-order local auto-correlation, means for calculating a coefficient of each factor vector from a factor matrix comprised of a plurality of factor vectors previously generated through learning using a factor analysis and arranged for one object under detection, and the feature data, and means for adding a plurality of the coefficients for one object under detection, and rounding off the sum to the decimal point to the closest integer representative of a quantity. By courtesy of small fluctuations in the sum of coefficients and accurate matching with the quantity of objects intended for recognition, a recognition can be accomplished with robustness to differences in scale and speed of objects and to dynamic changes thereof.
