Abstract:
Method for the production of a closed edge refractory foam filter, by providing a reticulated foam substrate having at least one first surface for forming a side face of the filter and two opposed second surfaces for forming the through-flow faces of the filter, applying a liquid including an organic coating component to the first surface, solidifying the organic coating component to form a filter precursor having a continuous volatilizable coating on the first surface, and impregnating the filter precursor with a slurry containing particles of a refractory material, a binder and a liquid carrier. The impregnated filter precursor is dried and fired to form the filter having a closed edge.

Abstract:
An amplifier and a portable telephone apparatus using the same in which a resonance circuit is provided for each of different frequencies and bypass capacitors of the ground terminal of a transistor are properly switched according to the different frequencies. Two capacitors connected to each other in series for the parallel resonance circuits to be connected to the output terminal of the amplifying transistor are used for the resonance capacitors for the higher frequency. For the lower frequency, one of the tow capacitors that is on the ground side is used as a bypass capacitor that grounds the ground terminal of the transistor in a high frequency manner, the other capacitor being functioned as a resonance capacitor at that frequency.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a wick for liquid fuel burner wherein liquid fuel is drawn and burnt. A thin sheet body made with fine ceramic fibers bound by an organic binder is installed on the combustion part at the top of the wick, to thereby improve the durability of the wick while using inferior quality liquid fuel.

An image reading apparatus includes a guide rod; a housing member having a guide part for abutting a document placed on a document table and positioning one side of the document on a table face of the document table and a first positioning part and a second positioning part projecting to the back side of the document table, when both end parts of the guide rod abut against the first positioning part and the second positioning part, the first positioning part and the second positioning part for positioning the guide rod at a position where the one side of the document positioned by the guide part and the longitudinal direction axis are parallel; a fix unit for pressing the guide rod against the first positioning part and the second positioning part; a carriage being fitted slidably into the guide rod; and a carriage drive section for moving the carriage along the guide rod.
Abstract:
An oscillator with a buffer circuit comprises: an oscillation circuit having an oscillation transistor; and a buffer circuit which has an amplification transistor and amplifies an oscillation signal outputted from the oscillation circuit by the amplification transistor. A power supply voltage is applied to the collector of either the oscillation transistor or the amplification transistor, the emitter of the other transistor has a D.C. ground connection, and the emitter of the transistor to which the power supply voltage is applied is connected to the collector of the other transistor via a resistor.
