摘要: A blanket to be mounted on a blanket cylinder includes a blanket body and two band sheets serving as reinforcing members and attached to corresponding parallel, opposite end portions of the blanket body across a width of the end portions. One of the band sheets is attached only to one end portion of the blanket body and only on a side of the blanket body which comes into contact with the blanket cylinder when the blanket is mounted on the blanket cylinder. The other band sheet is longitudinally folded in two and is attached to the other end portion of the blanket body such that the other end portion is sandwiched therebetween and the other band sheet has a substantially same thickness on each side of the other end portion.

摘要: An ink supply unit of a keyless printing press is capable of preventing leakage of an ink while printing is interrupted. The ink supply unit includes a movable blade provided between the both side plates in integral form, inclined descending toward a tip end side, supported on a base for movement toward and away from the peripheral surface of the fountain roller, driving means for driving the movable blade between a position where a tip end of the movable blade contacts to the peripheral surface of the fountain roller and a predetermined position where the tip end of the movable blade is located away from the peripheral surface of the fountain roller, and guide means coupled with the movable blade and guiding the movable blade so that the tip end of the movable blade moves with respect to the peripheral surface of the fountain roller with maintaining a predetermined attitude.

摘要: An airbag device for the body instantaneously activates an airbag without malfunctions. When an absolute value of an angular velocity detected by an angular velocity sensor exceeds a predetermined angular velocity value, angular velocity values are integrated from a most recent detected value to an oldest value within a predetermined time period, and if an absolute value of a resultant value of integral exceeds a predetermined value and an acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor is smaller than a predetermined acceleration, the airbag is inflated. Based on the value of the integral of the angular velocities, a case in which an angular velocity gradually increases is distinguished from a case in which an angular velocity momentarily increases, so the airbag device effectively prevents malfunctions caused by an action other than falling over. Additionally, because it is unnecessary to intentionally delay determination to prevent malfunctions, the airbag can instantaneously be inflated.

摘要: An ink fountain has one side closed by a fountain roller constantly exposed to the ink contained therein. Forming a part of the fountain bottom, a blade assembly defines in combination with the fountain roller an ink outlet which is to be closed and opened as the blade assembly travels toward and away from the fountain roller. Sprung away from the fountain roller, the blade assembly is moved toward the fountain roller against the spring bias by at least two linear actuators such as double-ended-rod fluid actuators spaced from each other in the axial direction of the fountain roller. The output members of the linear actuators, such as the reciprocable cylinders of the double-ended-rod fluid actuators, are rigidly interconnected as by a simple link, being aligned parallel to the fountain roller axis, for synchronous operation, thereby conjointly causing the travel of the blade assembly into leak-free contact with the fountain roller.
