摘要： At both sides of an opening of a cassette case, there are formed tape guides having guide faces, and a magnetic tape is stretched between the guide faces. On back faces of the guide faces of the tape guides, are formed cam grooves for guiding an open/close lid which covers the stretched magnetic tape. The open/close lid includes an inner lid provided with slide pins projected from both ends thereof and adapted to be slidably engaged with the cam grooves. An upper cassette half includes position regulating member adapted to be abutted by the slide pins in a state where said open/close lid is fully opened.

摘要： At both sides of a an opening of cassette case, there are formed tape guides having guide faces, and a magnetic tape is stretched between the guide faces. On back faces of the guide faces of the tape guides, are formed cam grooves for guiding an open/close lid which covers the stretched magnetic tape. The open/close lid includes an inner lid adapted to cover a back face of the magnetic tape. The inner lid is provided with slide pins projected from both ends thereof and adapted to be slidably engaged with the cam grooves. An upper cassette half is provided with cam covers at a front edge thereof projected forward so as to be positioned above the cam grooves for the inner lid, wherein protrusions are provided at inner base parts of the cam covers.

First and second cam grooves for guiding an open/close lid which covers the stretched magnetic tape are provided at opposite sides of the cassette case so as to guide first and second slide pins projected from opposite sides of the open/close lid. A biasing member is provided near one of the cam grooves for urging the open/close lid in a closing direction. A gap between an inner face of a curved portion of one of the first cam groove and an outer peripheral face of the first slide pin is different from a gap between an inner face of the curved portion of the second cam groove and the outer peripheral face of the second slide pin.

The cartridge label is attached to the cartridge and contains the noncontact-type memory. At least an antenna section protective indication for indicating an information writing area other than the area on an antenna coil of the antenna section is provided on the cartridge label.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette includes an ID board for enabling a hardware to identify the magnetic tape by bringing contacts on a circuit board of the ID board which are exposed through an opening formed in a lower cassette half into contact with corresponding contacts in the hardware. Additionally, a plating treatment is provided on the contacts on the ID board. Further, a determined distance is secured between all end portions of the parts of the circuit board. Which are provided with the plating treatment, and the end faces of the circuit board. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, the determined distance of the ID boards at a forward position in a moving direction of the magnetic tape cassette at which the contacts on the ID board are adapted to slidably contact with the contacts in the hardware is set to be 0.05-0.25 mm.

A distance between a couple of flanges of the tape reel is selected to keep a form of the wound magnetic tape, and to prevent the tape running from being disturbed by the increase of a contact resistance of the tape edges to the flanges. Additionally, positioning portions for positioning the magnetic tape cassette relative to a magnetic tape drive device are formed of a differential resin from the resin of the remaining part of the cassette case. Additionally, at least one of both end faces of each guide roller is surface treated so that the end face is not worn through its contact with the cassette half. Further, an information presenting section for displaying variable information is provided at a location other than label areas of the tape cassette.
