    摘要: A motion picture camera which can use a cartridge for film having a sound track includes sound recording means and a mechanism which actuates and releases the sound recording means to an operative state and to an inoperative state, respectively, in response to an actuation and a release of a shutter release member. All such parts which are needed to engage a film are arranged in a cartridge chamber defined in the camera housing so that the operator enables to readily insert a cartridge into the chamber so long as the sound recording means are set to their inoperative position.In another phase of the present invention, in order to insure proper sound effect, a motion picture camera of the type described and having a manually switchable picture image frame frequency control device having a plurality of switched positions is provided with locking means positioned adjacent the control device upon engagement therewith to lock the control device in a particular position for image-sound synchronous recording operation, and operatively associated with one of the switches of the circuit of the sound recording means upon engagement with the control device to close the switch.

The above mentioned sound signal recording head can take an active state wherein sound signal recording on the above mentioned sound signal recording belt is possible and an inactive state wherein said recording is impossible, selectively, and the shifting from said inactive state to the active state is done in an association with the action of the locking means of the cover of a chamber for the above mentioned film cartridge so that simultaneous sound recording and photographing can be done immediately after the camera cover is locked.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a camera capable of simultaneous film and sound recording and into which film magazine housing a film with a sound recording belt can be loaded. The camera has a sound recording device for recording sound on said sound recording belt of the film while photographing is made and also a driving device to continuously run the above mentioned film against said sound recording device. The camera can be shifted to the simultaneous sound recording state in response to the shutter release operation of the camera being in the preparation completion state for photographing with simultaneous sound recording. The camera is characterized in that a biasing device to bias at least one of the above mentioned driving devices and the film to a film driving position and a retention device which can retain the relative position of the above mentioned driving device and the film at a preparatory position for the above mentioned film driving position against the biasing force of said biasing device and can be released are provided. The release of the retention force of said retention device is done in response to the shutter release of the camera.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a motion picture camera which includes an openable cover for loading a film magazine containing a film capable of recording sound information. A sound recording device for recording the sound information on the film and a movable device for moving either the sound recording device or the film to a position at which the sound can be recorded is also included. An operation device for operating the opening and the closing of the openable cover can be displaced to three positions, i.e. the first, the second and the third position. The operation is carried out stepwise so that, at the first position, the movable device operates while the openable cover is locked; at the second position, the movable device does not operate while the openable cover is locked; and at the third position, the movable device does not operate while the openable cover is freed. At least one of the three position being non-linear with respect to the other two.

    摘要: A zoom lens system comprising an afocal front lens assembly and an image forming rear lens assembly is provided with stabilized optical means arranged in the optical path between said front and rear lens assemblies. When zooming, the stabilized optical means is controlled in accordance with the variation of angular magnification of the front lens assembly and with the deviation of the housing incorporating the zoom lens system from an original line of sight. The image is thus stabilized at the focal plane thereof against such deviation by varying the deflecting angle of the exiting light axis from the stabilized optical means with respect to the entering light axis. In one embodiment of the present invention, the rear lens assembly includes one or more members movable for zooming in such a manner that the zooming operation of the front lens assembly is consecutively followed by the zooming operation of the rear lens assembly, or vice versa. The stabilized optical means is preferably constructed in the form of a variable optical wedge, or a combination of a swingable mirror and a fixed mirror.

    摘要: A system for processing a strip of motion picture film with a multi-purpose film handling cartridge adapted for use in film-exposing, processing and projection operations. Responsive to varying rates of travel of the film strip across a processing station provided in the cartridge as it is being transported between the paired spools to which respective ends of the film strip are attached, a variable-speed driving mechanism mounted externally of the cartridge controls the speed of the spool to establish a constant rate of travel of the film strip across the processing station at any particular instance even though the winding diameters of the film strip on the spools are ever being varied, so that a uniform application of a coating of processing fluid is effected along the length of the exposed film strip without the necessity of providing any particular constant speed device within the cartridge. The variable speed driving mechanism is associated with an actuating member adapted to be accessible to the operator from the outside of the system housing and which once manually operated for actuation cannot be released from the actuating position by hand but automatically released when the entire length of the film strip has been processed to thereby prevent accidental interruptions of the running processing operation.

    摘要: In the device disclosed, an image formed by an optical system is scanned by an image sensor composed of independently arranged photoelectric transducing elements to produce an image scanning signal. A detecting circuit detects the variation of the brightness between the adjacent image elements as a measure of the sharpness of the image and the focus of the optical system. The focus detection accuracy is improved by non-linear transformation of the brightness variation signal with a non-linear transformation circuit that weighs the brightness variation signal on the basis of the signal level. A signal forming circuit detects the difference between the outputs of transducing elements and adds the differences to produce a comparator signal when a predetermined relationship is reached between the sharpness indication and the addition signal. An indicator indicates that the focusing condition cannot be discerned in response to the comparison signal and a control inhibits the output of the detection circuit to the indicator prior to the addition signal.
