摘要： A scintillator type radiation detector package is provided including a scintillation crystal directly coupled to the window of a photomultiplier. A scintillator package is also provided having a longer life at wellbore temperature with minimal deterioration of a hygroscopic scintillation crystal(s). Direct optical coupling of the scintillator to the photomultiplier reduces the amount of light lost at coupling interfaces and improved detection resolution over the conventional structures having separate packages for crystal and photomultiplier.

摘要： The subject application is directed to securing authorized access to a document processing device. Address information data associated with each mobile data device is first stored in a data storage. An incoming data message is received from a first mobile data device having identifier data assigned to the mobile device. The identifier data is then compared to stored address data and operation of a document processing device is selectively enabled via a user interface associated with the processing device according to an indication that identifier data corresponding to the received data is present in the storage. Electronic document data corresponding to an electronic document is received into the document processing device. Instruction data associated with a document processing operation is then received via the interface. Confirmation data is sent to the mobile device confirming the desired document processing operation. The desired operation is then commenced on the electronic document data.

The fees charged are based on the number of pages of the document, file, or other data stored. The fees are charged at the commencement of the services, rather than each day. The fees are also based on the location form which the services are accessed based on selected criteria of such location. Renewal of the storage duration includes fees are those fees charged when the document, file, or other data was first stored.

摘要： A stuffing box for sealing around a shaft. The stuffing box includes a seal which engages the circumferential surface of a shaft and creates a fluid seal therearound. The stuffing box also includes a wear indicator that can be used to provide an audible, visual or tactile indication that the seal has deteriorated a predetermined amount. An additional stuffing box is disclosed in which wedge inserts are used to create an effective fluid seal around a shaft. The stuffing box includes lower and upper housings, each including a seal. In each seal, a wedge insert is placed within tapered packing and compresses the packing against a shaft received within the housings, and against an internal surface of the housings. The packings can be placed on a platform ring that uses a spring to exert a biasing force further compressing the packings against the wedge and against the shaft and housing.

The method begins with a user logging onto a document processing system, inputs identification data, and selects one or more documents for document processing by the document processing system. The selected document is then uploaded to the document processing system, which renders the document to determine the number of pages and other document relevant information. The user then selects one of the available service locations. The cost associated with the requested document processing operation is then calculated and displayed to the user, along with available payment options. Once the user has selected the desired payment method, the document, with selected options and preferences, is transmitted to the selected service location for output on a document processing device thereon. The received request is stored in queue until such time as the user releases the request for further processing. When the request is resident in the queue for greater than a predetermined time, it is deleted automatically. To release the queued document for further processing, the user is required to log onto the document processing device, select the document from a list corresponding to the user, and verify payment. The requested document processing operation is then performed.

An electronic document is first routed to a document processing queue via a computer network. The queue is further accessible by multiple document processing devices via the network. A job processing request is then received from an associated user via a user interface associated with a selected document processing device. The request includes an instruction from the user to commence processing of the electronic document that is stored in the document processing queue. The job processing request is then communicated to the document processing queue for release to the selected device. The electronic document is then communicated to the selected document processing device. The cost is then calculated associated with the requested document processing operation and the operation is performed upon receipt of payment.

When a document processing device receives a document processing request, the device first determines whether a source document is present on the automatic document feeder or on the scanner device. A scan operation is initiated to detect the presence or absence of a source document. When no such source document is present, a visible alert is generated on an associated user-interface, illustrating to the user the absence of a source document. The user is then prompted to provide a source document to the document processing device. A second scan operation occurs and when the source document is present, the requested document processing operation is completed.
