摘要: A liquid jet recording head includes liquid discharge ports, pressure chambers, and a substrate which has the discharge energy generating element, a liquid chamber for storing a liquid supplied to the pressure chamber, a pair of paths which are separated from the liquid chamber, and a liquid supply port communicating with the liquid chamber. A liquid inlet port communicating with one path of the pair of paths and a liquid outlet port communicating with the other path of the pair of paths are opened on one surface of the substrate. A liquid flow path for discharging the liquid from the liquid chamber to the pressure chamber via the liquid supply port, and a liquid flow path for circulating the liquid from the one path to each pressure chamber via the liquid inlet port, and further from each pressure chamber to the other path via the liquid outlet port are provided.

摘要: A print head is provided by which a temperature change depending on each region in the substrate can be suppressed. The print head has an ink chamber communicating with an ink supply port. Furthermore, the print head has: a plurality of nozzle groups each of which is formed as one unit by combining a plurality of: communication ports that are provided in the ink chamber and that communicate with the ink supply port; pressure chambers including heat generating elements, ink supply ports, and ejection ports. A plurality of nozzle groups are formed in the same substrate and form a plurality of nozzle group arrays that are formed by the nozzle groups and that extend in the same direction. The plurality of nozzle group arrays are formed to be offset from one another in the direction along which the nozzle group array extend.

摘要: A print head that ejects ink supplied through an ink supply port can prevent the size of satellites from being reduced while inhibiting an increase in resistance to an ink flow. In the print head, ink supply ports are arranged on both sides of a plurality of channels. A predetermined number of ink supply ports are arranged at least at one side of the ink channel all over the range of the arrangement of the channels. One side of each of the plurality of channels is connected via the common liquid chamber to the liquid supply port located so as to extend in a direction in which the channels are arranged.

摘要: A method for discharging liquid from a recording head including a first discharge port configured to discharge a liquid, a second discharge port configured to discharge a liquid, an amount of which is smaller than an amount of the liquid discharged from the first discharge port, and a substrate including a first heating element corresponding to the first discharge port, a second heating element corresponding to the second discharge port and the liquid supply port, wherein a distance between the liquid supply port and the second heating element is longer than a distance between the liquid supply port and the first heating element, and wherein discharge of the liquid from the first discharge port is performed by a discharge method in which a bubble formed by the first heating element communicates with atmosphere and an amount of the liquid discharged from the second discharge port is less than 2 pico liters.

摘要: A liquid recording head for effecting recording by ejecting droplets from a plurality of ejection outlets formed on a substrate is provided. The liquid recording head includes a plurality of large droplet ejection outlets each having a relatively large ejection amount, a plurality of small droplet ejection outlets each having a relatively small ejection amount, energy generating elements for generating energy for ejecting the droplets from the plurality of large droplet ejection outlets and the plurality of small droplet ejection outlets, a liquid chamber for retaining liquid to be ejected from the plurality of large droplet ejection outlets or the plurality of small droplet ejection outlets, at least two first flow passages for establishing communication between the liquid chamber and one of the large droplet ejection outlets, and second flow passages for establishing communication between the liquid chamber and the small droplet ejection outlets.

摘要: A liquid ejecting head includes plural ejection outlets for ejecting droplets; liquid flow paths in fluid communication with the ejection outlets; and a liquid supply opening for supplying the liquid to the liquid flow paths. The ejection outlets include first and second ejection outlets disposed at least at one side of the liquid supply opening and are staggered. The first ejection outlets are nearer to the liquid supply opening than the second ejection outlets. Each of first recording elements corresponding to the first ejection outlets includes one rectangular heat generating resistor having a long side extending along a direction crossing with an arranging direction of the ejection outlets. Each of second recording elements corresponding to the second ejection outlets comprises plural rectangular heat generating resistors which are adjacent to each other at long sides thereof and are electrically connected in series.

摘要: A dark color (for example, cyan) ink dot formed by preliminary ejection can be made less noticeable, and the influence on the printing quality can be reduced, even in a case where the dark color ink is preliminarily ejected onto a light color (for example, yellow) image area. For this purpose, in a case where the dark color ink is preliminarily ejected onto the image area of high lightness, the amount of the ink applied for printing the area is reduced. For example, in a case where a cyan ink is preliminarily ejected onto an area to be formed of yellow dots, a piece of data for forming the yellow dot in the preliminary ejection position is deleted. This reduces an overlapping area of the yellow area and the ink dot formed by the preliminary ejection, and thus makes the ink dot formed by the preliminary ejection less noticeable.
