    摘要： As shown in FIG. 4, as coupling holding means 20 for holding coupling between a socket S10 and a plug P10, an engaging projection 22 is formed in the plug P10 and an engaging recess 21 is formed in the socket S10 so that the socket S10 is coupled with the plug P10 accurately by an operation to engage the projection 22 with the recess 21 after an overriding operation of the projection 22. Additionally, on the plug P10 is provided a cam portion 31 which inclines in substantially a circumferential direction about a central axis running in the coupling direction and a cam follower portion 32 is formed in the socket S10. In a case where an abnormal rotational force exceeding a normal range of use is applied, an automatic release of coupling is made between the cam portion and the cam follower portion.

    摘要： A coupler (1) for a fuel cell according to the embodiment has a socket (1s) and a nozzle (1n). The socket (1s) is provided to the fuel cell (2) and has a valve (40). The nozzle (1n) is provided to a fuel cartridge (3) for storing a liquid fuel for the fuel cell (2) and has a valve (14). The coupler (1) supplies the liquid fuel stored in the fuel cartridge (3) to the fuel cell (2) by opening both the valves (14, 40) by contacting mutually when the socket (1s) and the nozzle (1n) are connected. At least one valve selected from the socket side and the nozzle side has a head section (14a or 40a) and rod sections (14b and 14c, or, 40b and 40c) arranged at opposite ends axially of the head section (14a or 40a), and the rod section (14b or 40b) on the contact side is mainly made of a metal member.

The valve stem is made retractably movable in the socket in the axial direction to open and close the channel inside the socket. All portions or components which contact liquid fuel in the coupler are formed solely of rubber and/or plastics.
