摘要： A cork extracting device includes a bifurcated body defining a pair of depending legs. Circumferentially spaced ribs project laterally from each leg to define guide surfaces for an extracted cork, the lower ends of the ribs defining two different-sized bottle neck seats. An oblong handle with an elastomeric covering is fixed to one end of a worm which extends through a collar in the upper end of the body and downwardly between the legs. Flexible and resilient fingers are cut from each leg and respectively carry foil cutters, the fingers being manually depressible to engage the cutters with a bottle neck foil for cutting the foil in response to rotation of the body about the bottle neck.

摘要： A rotary hand grater has a housing which defines a hopper communicating with an open-ended cylindrical grating chamber in which a grating drum rotates for grating the contents of the hopper. The chamber is closed at one end by handle structure for rotating the grating drum and at the other end by a removable cap. A press plate is movable into and out of the hopper for pressing food against the grating tube. A flexible and resilient seal is clamped between the press plate and a backing surface on a plunger arm for sealing engagement with the hopper side walls and cooperation with the handle structure and the cap to seal the hopper and the chamber.

摘要： A dustpan includes an open-front receptacle, at least one elongated rail on the receptacle, an elongated handle having a coupling portion, and a coupling mechanism slidably coupled to the at least one rail and pivotally coupled to the coupling portion of the handle so that the handle is both slidably and pivotally moveable relative to the receptacle between use and storage positions. A broom includes an elongated second handle and a head carrying set of bristles, the head having a housing with curved side portions shaped and dimensioned to respectively nest in recesses in the dustpan handle in a stowed condition clipped to the dustpan handle in such a way that it does not interfere with the pivoting and sliding movement of the dustpan handle. The dustpan receptacle can be stood on its flat rear end wall with the stowed broom received therein.

摘要： A fluid-dispensing kitchen brush has a body including a fluid reservoir and a handle, the reservoir being closed by an end plate which is ultrasonically welded to the body and is, in turn, latched to a bristle block by means of resilient fingers on the block engaging in notches on the plate. A second embodiment also has a resilient tab on the plate engaging in a recess in the block. Aligned holes through the plate and the block which provide communication between the reservoir and the bristles is openable and closeable by a plug biased closed by a leaf spring and openable by means of a lever having a post receivable in a fluid-filling aperture in the body adjacent to the handle. The aperture is closed by a hollow cap hingedly movable between open and closed positions and having a flexible and resilient dome which, in the closed position, covers the post and is depressible for actuating the lever. A frictional cushioning grip sleeve covers the handle and a portion of the cap hinge to secure the cap to the handle.
