Abstract:
An image forming system that makes it possible to open or remove an external cover of an apparatus to perform maintenance on the apparatus even while the system is operating. Out of a plurality of conveying paths, at least one conveying path for which at least one part related to the conveying path can be subjected to maintenance is determined, in accordance with a type of the image forming process being executed. The conveying path for which it has been determined that the part related to the conveying path can be subjected to maintenance is displayed on a display device.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a position detection circuit which detects the registration error amount between a recording medium conveyance unit and an image forming unit positioned by a positioning mechanism, on the basis of reading of a reference pattern arranged on either unit, and a controller which calculates a correction amount on the basis of the detected registration error amount and controls the operation timings of the image forming unit and recording medium conveyance unit in accordance with the correction amount.
Abstract:
This invention provides an image forming apparatus capable of shortening the user's print waiting time as much as possible when it is determined that image adjustment is necessary during the image forming operation, and a control method therefor. To accomplish this, in a color image forming apparatus including a plurality of image forming stations which form toner images with a plurality of toners on the basis of a job, it is discriminated whether adjustment processing is necessary during a continuous image forming operation based on the job. If it is discriminated that adjustment processing is necessary, it is determined whether each of the image forming stations has a non-operating time enough to execute the discriminated adjustment processing during the image forming operation. The image forming station determined to have a non-operating time enough to execute adjustment processing executes the discriminated adjustment processing during the non-operating time.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus to which a developer storage container can be detachably mounted, includes: a reception unit arranged to receive information from the developer storage container; a first temperature detection unit provided in an inside of the image forming apparatus and arranged to detect a temperature of the inside of the image forming apparatus; a cooling unit arranged to cool the inside of the image forming apparatus; and a control unit arranged to determine on the basis of the received information whether second temperature detection unit is provided to the developer storage container, control the cooling unit on the basis of the detection result of the first temperature detection unit when the second temperature detection unit is not provided, and control the cooling unit on the basis of the detection results of the first and second temperature detection units when the second temperature detection unit is provided.
Abstract:
In a nonhuman animal model that produces a secretory protein, which is obtained by transplanting secretory protein-expression vector-transfected cells into a nonhuman animal, an amount of the secretory protein is measured and, based on the amount of the secretory protein, transcriptional activity, number of the transplanted cells, and tumor volume is measured. Further, screening of a compound that affects a transcriptional activity, number of transplanted cells, or tumor volume is performed by using the nonhuman animal model to which a compound has been administered.
Abstract:
There are provided an image forming apparatus and a method of controlling the same are provided, which are capable of conveying an insert sheet of a proper page in carrying out a recovery process and simplifying the recovery process, and a storage medium storing a program for executing the method. When a printing start instruction is input and an insert mode has been set, an insert sheet is fed. It is determined whether the insert sheet is for a top page of a copy (bundle) or not. When the insert sheet for the top page is detected, a proper printing operation in the insert mode is started. If the insert sheet is not determined to be for the top page, it is judged that the insert sheet has not been correctly set on the inserter tray, and then the insert sheet is discharged to a non-sort tray. Then, insert sheets are discharged to the non-sort tray until the insert sheet for the top page is detected.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel bioactive substance having an antitumor activity and a process for producing it, and a medical use thereof. Namely, it provides a 12-membered ring macrolide compound represented by the following formula obtained from the incubation solution of Streptomyces sp. Mer. 11107 or a variant thereof, a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof or a hydrate of them, and a process for producing it
Abstract:
It is intended to obtain outputs of insert sheets suitable for an inserter without delay. Thus, it is controlled to sort sheets on which pages of an image, being the print object in a mode to output the sheets to be set to an inserter provided in another apparatus having such the inserter, of first type in a series of images having plural pages were formed respectively, on the basis of information based on the inserter provided in the another apparatus.
Abstract:
When sheets with images formed thereon from an image forming apparatus and a special sheet such as a cover sheet are arranged in alignment into a bundle of sheets, conveyance of the special sheet from the stacking unit is started prior to conveyance of the sheets from the image forming apparatus, and the special sheet is temporarily halted on a conveyance path at a location intermediate between the stacking unit and a receiving unit, whereby no complicated operation by an operator is required and the productivity can be improved. Further, the special sheet will be switched (i.e. reversed) when it is conveyed to the receiving unit.
Abstract:
An image formation apparatus has a sheet processor in which the setting of punch action is permitted during a specified period of time, even after image formation is started when the setting of a punch action has been forgotten. When the start key of the image formation apparatus is operated for starting image formation in a situation in which a setting of an action for punching at least one hole in a sheet by a punch setting button is forgotten, an action setting by the punch setting button is permitted during a specified period of time taken after inputting of the start for image formation, so that sheet processing and image formation can be continued without pausing the apparatus.
