    摘要: A brake mechanism for a utility vehicle which can be installed around a drive shaft or inside a wheel hub. The brake has a non rotatable fixed body (200), a rotatable body (100) rotatable relative to the fixed body (200), at least one brake disc (207) which is non-rotatably relative to the fixed body (200), and at least one rotating brake disc (107) which is fixed for rotation with the rotatable body (100). An actuating member (234) can press the fixed brake disc (207) and the rotating brake disc (107) against each other and against a stop surface (209) on the fixed body to apply the brake. A spring means (230) also exerts an immobilizing force on the actuating member (234) to press the fixed brake disc (207) and the rotating brake disc (107) against each other to apply the brake. A brake release means (231, 233) can exert a brake release force which counteracts the immobilizing force of the spring so that the actuating member (234) no longer presses the fixed brake disc (207) and the rotating brake disc (107) against each other, and a brake applying means (235) can exert a pushing force on the actuating member (234) in the same direction as the immobilizing force to press the fixed brake disc (207) and the rotating brake disc (107) against each other to apply the brake.

    摘要: A brake mechanism for a utility vehicle which can be installed around a drive shaft or inside a wheel hub.     摘要: A multi-plate disc brake has interleaved rotatable and non-rotatable brake discs (11) within a brake housing (13) and a ball and ramp type brake actuator (12) comprising first and second relatively rotatable annular actuator discs (20, 21) with actuator balls (22) therebetween located in circumferentially ramped pockets (20a, 21a) on opposing faces of the actuator discs. A wedge-shaped actuator member (23) has an actuating means (24A, 24B) to displace the actuator member between confronting abutments (20b, 21b) on the respective actuator discs to relatively rotate the discs to cause the balls to rise up the ramped pockets and hence expand the actuator axially to move the brake discs (11) into engagement. Cooling oil is supplied into the brake housing through the wedge-shaped actuator member (23) when the brake is engaged.

In the case of the brake mechanism (1), during a brake application an additional quantity of oil is supplied to a brake chamber (150) via an inlet manifold (180), which is fluidically connected to an oil chamber (130). The service brake is formed so that, when the service brake is operated, a first control element (120) is moved towards the brake elements (140, 141) in such a way that a brake chamber (150) is fluidically connected to the inlet manifold (180) and thus ensures an additional oil supply from the oil chamber (130).
