摘要: The invention relates to the design of power sequences for use in a group of sub-areas of a wireless communication system. Each power sequence defines for one of the sub-areas transmission power values for transmissions using a respective one of a plurality of medium access units. For each of the sub-areas of the group, reception quality values are determined for transmissions between an access station serving the sub-area and mobile stations located at an edge of the sub-area. The reception quality values allow meeting system. The reception quality values are then converted for each of the sub-areas into transmission power values of a power sequence.

摘要: A system for using a predetermined sequence of transmission modes together with power sequencing in order to reduce signaling while improving SNIR levels. Each sequence comprises a vector of transmission modes, where each mode can include a signal constellation, a concatenated channel coding type and rate and, for multiple-input multiple-output systems, one type of matrix modulation. Base transceiver stations can estimate the interference condition for each piece of user equipment and, based on this information, will preferably decide an optimal sequence for each item of user equipment.

摘要: An approach includes detecting failure of an error detection scheme relating to transmission of data units of a transport block. A negative acknowledgement message is generated in response to the detection of the failure. The negative acknowledgement message is forwarded to a radio link controller for discarding one or more of the data units.

摘要: A method for allocation of multi-carrier transmission resources to terminal devices in a network cell of a radio access network, the transmission resources being dividable into symbol-duration time spans in a time domain and into a plurality of sub-carriers in a frequency domain, comprises allocating to a respective terminal device a group of consecutive symbol-duration time spans in the time domain and at least one respective sub-carrier block in the frequency domain, the at least one respective sub-carrier block being formed by a group of respective consecutive sub-carriers. The allocating comprises allocating a respective sub-carrier block and the group of symbol-duration time spans according to one respective allocation type, which is either a localized or a distributed allocation type, the localized allocation type allocating them to one respective terminal device, and the distributed allocation type allocating them to a respective set of terminal devices.

摘要: Apparatus, methods, computer program products and data structures are provided that enable effective in-band signaling and data structures for adaptive control and operation of segmentation. An exemplary method includes: determining, during an ongoing wireless communication, that a current communication scheme is to be changed to a new communication scheme including one of a new segmentation scheme or a new non-segmentation scheme; and sending a control protocol data unit (C-PDU) from a first device to a second device, wherein the C-PDU includes identification information identifying the new communication scheme and control information related to the new communication scheme.
