摘要： A sheet finisher includes: a stacking member for aligning a plurality of recording sheets each on which an image has been recorded and for stacking the plurality of recording sheets thereon; a cover sheet feeding member having a cover sheet loading section for loading a cover sheet, for feeding the cover sheet stacked on the cover sheet loading section to the stacking member; a stapling member for stapling the cover sheet and the recording sheets stacked on the stacking member; and a folding member for folding the cover sheet and the recording sheets into two. The cover sheet feeding member, the stacking member and the folding member are substantially vertically arranged in the order from an upper portion to a lower portion of the sheet finisher.

摘要： An apparatus for finishing sheets is provided with a sheet conveyor to convey a sheet in a predetermined sheet conveyance direction on a sheet conveyance path; and a stapling device to conduct an edge stapling processing to put staple pins into an edge portion of sheets and a center stapling processing to put staple pins at a central portion of sheets, the stapling device having a plurality of staplers arranged in a direction perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction, each of the plurality of staplers constructed in a two-divided piece structure including a driving mechanism provided one side of the sheet conveyance passage so as to put the staple pins into the sheets and a receiving mechanism provided the other side of the sheet conveyance passage so as to clinch the staple pins, and at least one of the plurality of staplers movable in a direction perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction.

摘要： An image-forming apparatus is provided which can conduct folding processing that is suitable for a process to form an image on a sheet. The image forming apparatus includes a first folding device and a second folding device both of which conduct folding processing while conveying a sheet, a controller to control both of the first folding device and the second folding device, and a selector to select a two-folding mode or a three-folding mode. The controller controls the first folding device so as to eject the sheet after folding the sheet double when the two-folding mode is selected by the selector, while the controller controls the first folding device so as to fold the sheet double, and then, further controls the second folding device so as to eject the sheet after further folding the sheet in three when the selector selects the three-folding mode.

摘要： An image forming apparatus integrally having a sheet post-processing apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a center folding unit for creasing, a stack unit which has an angular shape, and a pushing unit which pushes up the paper sheets stacked on said stack means. The apparatus also includes a first convey unit for conveying a creased paper sheet or the like and stacking paper sheets or the like on the stack unit. The apparatus further includes a convey assistance unit provided near a top portion the stack unit and a saddle stitching unit for forming a predetermined number of paper sheets or the like stacked into a booklet. In addition, the apparatus also includes a second convey unit for conveying the saddle-stitched booklet in a two-folded state, a cutting unit for performing a cutting process, and a discharging unit for discharging the two-folded booklet outside the apparatus.

摘要： A finisher for finishing a booklet having a bundle of center-folded sheets, includes: a detector for detecting an end on a side of a folded portion of the booklet: a moving device for conveying the booklet by movement thereof; a controller for controlling the movement of the moving device; and a cutting device for cutting an edge on a side opposite to the end of the booklet, which has been conveyed by the moving device to a cutting position. The controller controls the movement of the moving device from a position where the detector has detected the end of the folded portion to the cutting position so that a size of a booklet after being cut is kept constant for each of sheet sizes.

摘要： To avoid displacement of the fold formed on a sheet and misalignment between sheets when a fold is formed on a bundle of sheets stacked one on top of another, a sheet folding apparatus, for forming a plurality of folds on the sheet on which an image is formed, includes a first folding section and a second folding section. The first folding section has a first folding roller, a second folding roller in contact with the first roller, and a first folding plate member for inserting the first fold of the sheet between the first and second folding rollers. The second folding section has the second folding roller, a third folding roller in contact with the second folding roller provided downstream from the first folding roller in the sheet feeding direction, and a second folding plate member for inserting the second fold of the sheet between the second and third folding rollers. After the first fold has been formed on the sheet in the first folding section, the second fold of the sheet is formed in the second folding section.

摘要： There is described a paper conveying apparatus that deflects a conveying direction of a paper at substantially 90 degree relative to a conveyance direction of the paper. The apparatus includes: a first conveying section to convey the paper in a first conveyance direction; a second conveying section that includes a conveyance belt, including a conveying nail, to deflect the conveying direction of the paper and conveys the paper in a second conveyance direction, which is substantially orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of a leading edge of the paper; a stopper member for stopping and releasing a side edge portion of the paper in a width direction of the paper; and a driving section to drive both the conveyance belt and the stopper member. The driving section moves the conveying nail and/or the stopper member from an outside of a paper conveying area, to achieve a width truing operation.
