摘要： An optical disc drive control apparatus according to the present invention comprises a disc drive into or from which various optical discs are inserted or ejected. The system includes a first memory for storing various players that play back various optical discs, a second memory for storing a table in which combinations of various information recording mediums and various players corresponding to these mediums are written, and a disc manager, which comprises a unit for sensing the type of an optical disc inserted into the disc drive, a unit for referring to the table in the second memory and deriving the type of a player corresponding to the sensed type of optical disc, as well as the type of data stored on the disk, and a unit for driving one of the various players stored in the first memory which is of the type derived by the deriving means and causing the player to play back the optical disc.
