    摘要： A cartridge to be inserted into a drive unit includes a casing containing a recording medium disc to be driven by the drive unit. The disc has a hub fixed at its center. Center windows are provided at opposite sides of the casing and allow the hub to be inserted therethrough. Head windows are provided also at opposite sides of the casing and allow a reading head to access information recorded on opposite sides of the disc. Shutters are provided around the center windows and normally cover the head windows. These shutters are rotatable about the center windows and uncover the head windows when the cartridge is inserted into the drive unit. An actuator for rotating the shutters is provided between the shutters and the outside of the casing. The actuator has a portion exposed to the outside of the casing so that the shutters are automatically and indirectly rotated by an external force applied to the actuator when the cartridge is inserted into the drive unit. An advantage of the arrangement of these elements is that damage to and malfunctioning of the cartridge is prevented.

    摘要： An input system executes an input to an information processing apparatus depending on the hand motion. Plural myoelectric sensors are provided on an area between a wrist of the person and bases of a second finger to a fifth finger, and detect myoelectric signals depending on the hand motion. A setting portion outputs at least one command to make the person execute at least one particular motion in a state where the myoelectric sensors are worn on the hand, and associates the detected myoelectric signals after the output of the command with the particular motion corresponding to the command. An input portion identifies the hand motion from myoelectric signals detected based on the hand motion after the termination of the association and the association result of the setting portion, and executes the input to the information processing apparatus depending on the identified hand motion.

    摘要： A shopping path tracking system is disclosed that comprises a terminal device, a fixed communication device, and a path management device. The fixed communication device wirelessly communicates with the terminal device, calculates a response time of the terminal device, and reports the calculated response time to the path management device. The path management device detects a position of the terminal device based on the response time reported from the fixed communication device, stores the detected position, and detects a travel path of the terminal device by tracking the stored positions.
