Abstract: A sheet feed cassette having: a main body to be set in a body of an image forming apparatus; a first press-up member configured to support print media stacked thereon; a first elastic member configured to apply an elastic force to make the first press-up member press up the print media; a second press-up member; a second elastic member configured to apply an elastic force to make the second press-up member press up the first press-up member or the print media; an adjusting mechanism configured to adjust the force of the second press-up member to press up the first press-up member or the print media in accordance with a size of the print media; and a regulatory mechanism configured to prevent the second press-up member from pressing up the first press-up member or the print media when the main body is detached from the body of the image forming apparatus.

Abstract: A fixing apparatus feeds a sheet that is unfixed through a nip formed between a heating member and a pressurizing member to thermally fix the sheet, and includes a cooler that cools the pressurizing member, wherein when a fixing job is performed on a sheet whose sheet width is a second width larger than a first width, after a fixing job is completed on a sheet whose sheet width in an orthogonal direction to a sheet feeding direction is the first width, the cooler cools a difference region in which a first sheet feeding region of the pressurizing member through which the sheet having the first width is fed and a second sheet feeding region through which the sheet having the second width is fed are not overlapped with each other, with a cooling power stronger than that of a region corresponding to the first sheet feeding region.

Abstract: A sheet conveying device includes: a curved conveyance path; and a pair of downstream side rollers that lies on the downstream side with respect to the curved conveyance path, and catches the sheet conveyed from the upstream side with respect to the curved conveyance path and reaching the curved conveyance path, wherein the curved conveyance path includes a movable guide movable between a first position and a second position, at the first position, the movable guide forms an outer circumferential wall of the curved conveyance path, and guides a tip of the sheet in such a direction that the sheet conveyed to the curved conveyance path travels toward the pair of downstream side rollers, and at the second position, a summit portion of a curve of the outer circumferential wall is retracted toward the outside in a radial direction of the curve with respect to the first position.
