摘要: A silent-chain transmission apparatus includes a silent chain and a sprocket. The silent chain is formed of a plurality of plates, each of which has a pair of link teeth each having an inner crotch and an outer flank. The plates are connected through use of connection pins. The sprocket has sprocket teeth that come into meshing engagement with the link teeth of the silent chain. Each of the inner crotches has a projection that is formed on a tooth tip side with respect to a working pitch line and has a straightly profiled portion.

摘要: A silent chain power transmitting apparatus includes a silent chain and two or more sprockets with different number of teeth, wherein the sprockets each have a tooth form formed by hobbing with a hob cutter having teeth profiled similarly with the profile of a series of trapezoidal teeth formed by the inside flanks of longitudinally overlapping link plates of the silent chain so as to cut the periphery of a cylindrical workpiece with an amount of addendum modification set in such a manner that an engagement height of the inside flank at the onset of the meshing engagement between the silent chain and the sprocket is in equal to the distance between the sprocket center and the connecting pin centers when the silent chain is wrapped around and seated on the sprocket. The outside flanks of the silent chain have a first portion profiled by an envelope that is tangent to every one of a group of tooth forms of the sprockets when the silent chain is wrapped around the sprockets with different numbers of teeth.

摘要: In a transmission comprising an endless silent chain and a sprocket the inside tooth faces of the link plates of the chain are identical to tooth profiles, arranged axially, of a hob cutter for forming teeth of the sprocket. The inside and outside tooth faces also satisfy Hi=Ho+Hs, where Hi is the distance from a pin center line Lp to a pitch line Li of the inside tooth faces, Ho is a distance from the pin center line to a pitch line Lo of the outside tooth faces, and Hs is the amplitude of polygonal motion of the chain. Each link plate also has a concave bottom surface between its teeth to avoid interference with edges of the involute teeth arising due to the chain polygonal motion amplitude when the outside tooth faces are brought into meshing engagement with the involute teeth and become seated thereon.

摘要: A silent chain drive mechanism includes a silent chain for transmitting power between a larger sprocket and a smaller sprocket, wherein the inside flanks of one link plate of the silent chain are profiled to project outward of the outside flanks of the adjacent link plates, and tooth flank configurations of the larger and smaller sprockets are formed by involute curves arranged to satisfy the expression A1>Ac≧A2, where A1 is a pressure angle of the smaller sprocket, A2 is a pressure angle of the larger sprocket, and Ac is a pressure angle of the inside flanks of teeth of the link plates. With this arrangement, the chordal action of the silent chain is suppressed at both the larger sprocket side and the smaller sprocket side, thereby reducing vibrations and noises accompanied with the chordal action and improving the driving performance and durability.

摘要: A spring-actuated electromagnetic brake includes an adjustment plate attached a rotating shaft and having an annular recess in one end face thereof facing a boss of a brake plate slidably mounted on the rotating plate. An annular elastic member is disposed in the annular recess in such a manner that when the brake is in the released state, the elastic member partially projects from the recess and is in contact with an end face of the boss. A slide-distance adjustment bolt having an enlarged head and a thread-free shank of a length larger than the thickness of the adjustment plate extends through an opening of the adjustment plate and is threaded on the end face of the boss. The brake plate is slidable in one direction by the force of the brake spring and in the opposite direction by the recovery force of the elastic member. The range of sliding movement of the brake plate is determined by the difference between the length of the shank of the bolt and the thickness of the adjustment plate. The gap provided between the armature and the lining when the brake is in the released state is smaller than the gap provided between the field and the armature when the brake is in the engaged state, so that a striking noise generated when the armature strikes against the lining by the force of brake springs is reduced correspondingly.

摘要: A hoisting and lowering driving engagement multi-row chain is disclosed, in which bending of the connecting pins in the chain is suppressed to avoid fatigue failure. Additionally, the load carrying balance in the chain width direction is improved, and contact vibrations and contact noises generated between the chain and the hoisting and lowering sprockets are suppressed. Endurance of the bush in the chain is thereby improved. Bending of connecting pins is avoided by press-fitting bushes, through which connecting pins pass, into intermediate tooth plates. This also improves load carrying balance widthwise. Contact noises and vibrations between the bushes and sprockets are suppressed by providing bushes with a separate sprocket engagement portion having a larger diameter than the press-fitting portion of the bushes.
