摘要： An ATM-ETHERNET converter (21B) is provided for relaying ATM cells (70) transmitted from a CLAD (22) of an ATM network (2B) to a CLAD (22) of an ATM network (2A) via a wide area Ethernet (3). The ATM-ETHERNET converter (21B) is provided with an ATM-PHY (212) receiving the ATM cells (70) transmitted from the CLAD (22) of the ATM network (2B), a buffer (41) storing the ATM cells (70) thus received, a LAN switch (214) that encapsulates the ATM cells (70) stored in the buffer (41) in a frame (FRD) corresponding to the wide area Ethernet (3) and sends the ATM cells (70) to the wide area Ethernet (3), and a CPU (211) starting discarding the ATM cells (70) stored in the buffer (41) at a predetermined time.

[Solution Means] This invention's device for judging the type of liquid inside a container is equipped with: a plate capacitor 1, wherein two plate electrodes 1a and 1b are positioned in opposing manner; a container supporting member 3, holding, in a region besides the region sandwiched between plate electrodes 1a and 1b, a non-conductive container 2 that can contain a liquid in its interior; an oscillation circuit 4, containing capacitor 1; and a control part 5, detecting the oscillation frequency of the oscillation circuit; and container supporting member 3 is arranged to adjust the distance from plate electrode 1a to container 2 in accordance with the size of container 2. Also, a third electrode 18, of the same electric potential as plate electrode 1b, is disposed in contact with a bottom part of container 2.

摘要： A technique for quickly determining the type of liquid in a container externally regardless of the material of the container, preferably contactlessly. A halogen heater 102 and an infrared thermopile 103 are disposed outside an electrically conductive container 101 made of aluminum, for example. The surface temperature of the container 101 is measured when the halogen heater 102 is off, followed by the turning-on of the halogen heater 102 for two seconds, for example. The surface temperature of the container 101 is then measured, and a difference from the previous result of measurement is calculated. If the difference is smaller than a threshold value, the liquid in the container is determined to be a safe liquid consisting primarily of water, and a blue lamp is activated. If the difference is greater than the threshold value, the liquid in the container cannot be determined to be a safe liquid consisting primarily of water, and a red lamp is activated, indicating abnormality.
