A method of dispersing fragrance within a vehicle from a fragrance dispensing apparatus having a sensor and a fragrance actuator includes detecting the presence of a person in a vehicle with the sensor, and activating the fragrance actuator to direct fragrance from the apparatus into the vehicle.
