Systems and methods that employ an application-assisted approach to adaptive spatio-temporal error concealment in video decoders. The systems and methods employ a video receiver that can receive real-time video frames from a video transmitter over a wired and/or wireless network. The video receiver includes an end system configurable as an application for consuming the content of the real-time video frames. The end system application can determine whether each received real-time video frame is complete or incomplete, whether each received slice is complete or incomplete, and provide such information to the video decoder for use in avoiding errors while decoding the respective real-time video frames. The video decoder can determine whether any pixel blocks included in real-time video packets are properly decoded or missing, generate statistics regarding the coding mode of the respective pixel blocks, and use such further information while performing adaptive spatio-temporal error concealment on the respective pixel blocks.

It is determined whether the primary user usage includes a pattern of usage. If a pattern of usage is detected, a second mode of operation is engaged which includes at least reducing spectrum sensing by a secondary user to permit secondary user usage of the channel.

Embodiments herein disclose a method for controlling a non-linear effect of a power amplifier by an apparatus. The method includes acquiring an input data of the power amplifier of the apparatus and an output data of the power amplifier. Further, the method includes determining an inverse function using a neural network. The inverse function maps normalized output data of the PA to the input data of the PA, where the neural network comprises at least one sub-network for at least one memory tap from a plurality of memory taps in the neural network. Further, the method includes modifying the input data based on the determined inverse function value by dynamically changing a usage of the at least one memory tap from the plurality of memory taps. Further, the method includes compensating the non-linear effect in the output data of the power amplifier.

The identified data includes information at a macrolevel and information at a picture level. The information at the macrolevel might comprise additional stages incorporated in the re-encoder module including a Mapping Process stage, a Sub Pixel Refinement stage, a Mode Selection stage to choose from Intra, Inter or Skip modes, followed by the standard H.264 encoding loop and the Entropy Coding Block.
