    摘要: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving MBMS control information in an MBMS mobile communication system are provided. An RNC transmits MBMS control information for an MBMS service on an MCCH mapped to one of a plurality of CCPCHs available in a cell of the mobile communication system, and transmits a paging message on a logical channel mapped to each of the CCPCHs. Here, the paging message requests reception of the MBMS control information. A UE monitors one of the plurality of the CCPCHs, receives the paging message on the monitored CCPCH, switches to the CCPCH having the MCCH, and receives the MBMS control information on the switched to CCPCH. Therefore, resource consumption is minimized in transmitting MBMS control information in a cell and the reception reliability of the MBMS control information in the UE is increased.

The Node B selects a transport channel for MBMS control information among a plurality of transport channels mapped to a secondary common control physical channel; transmits a system information block indicating the selected transport channel to a cell area where UEs are located, using a primary common control physical channel; and transmits the MBMS control information to the cell area using the selected transport channel. The UE receives a system information block indicating a transport channel selected to transmit MBMS control information among a plurality of transport channels mapped to a secondary common control physical channel, over a primary common control physical channel; receives the MBMS control information over the selected transport channel among the plurality of the transport channels, using the system information block; and receives the MBMS service using the MBMS control information.

    摘要: Disclosed is a mobile telecommunication system in which packet data is transmitted over an uplink, and particularly a method and an apparatus for transmitting control information from a UE to a Node B. By multiplexing, several upper layer data units and MAC layer control information are included in a packet which the UE transmits during one transmission period in the uplink. A header of the packet accommodates multiplexing information, and thus the Node B uses the multiplexing information for demultiplexing upper layer data units from the packet. When the packet accommodates only the MAC layer control information, the UE does not insert the header into the packet, thereby reducing the packet size. The Node B then determines whether the packet includes only the control information or the upper layer data units together with the header.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus are disclosed for applying frequency layer convergence (FLC) to connected mode user equipments (UE) having no dedicated channel for a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) service in a mobile communication system employing a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) scheme. The method and apparatus prevent uplink signaling congestion which may occur when the UEs located in non preferred frequency layers (NPL) of the MBMS service move to a preferred frequency layers (PL) when a MBMS service session starts. If the MBMS service session starts in a situation of applying the FLC, a radio network controller (RNC) notifies the UEs desiring to receive the MBMS service and located in NPLs for the MBMS service of FLC information including a PF value and a timer value, with reference to the number of the NPL UEs joining the MBMS service. The UEs performs a PF test according to the PF and timer values, thereby maintaining the degree of congestion and signal transmission load at appropriate levels.

If the actual BS value is more than the second threshold, a Buffer Status Report (BSR) indicative of the actual BS is transmitted to a Node B.
