摘要： A signal recording/reproducing apparatus for use with a tape cassette comprises a cylinder assembly having an outer peripheral surface. The cylinder assembly has mounted thereon heads for recording and reproducing a signal on and from a magnetic tape in the tape cassette, respectively, and a lead formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder assembly so as to helically extend, to define a running path of the magnetic tape on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder assembly. A pair guides guide the tape so that the tape is helically wound over a predetermined angular extent along the lead upon the recording/reproducing of the signal. The pair of tape guides are located and oriented in their predetermined positions such that the tape guides impart a force to the tape to press the tape onto the lead during recording and reproduction thereby to permit the tape to move along the lead.

摘要： Signal-recording/reproducing apparatus for use with a tape cassette includes a cylinder having mounted thereon heads for recording and reproducing a signal on and from a magnetic tape within the tape cassette, respectively. A pair of tape guides are movable between an unloading position remote from the cylinder and a loading position adjacent thereto. The tape is withdrawn out of the tape cassette by the tape guides when they are moved from the unloading position to the loading position. When the tape guides are in the loading position, an angular extent over which the tape is in contact with a non-rotatable guide element of one of the tape guides located at an exit side where the tapes leaves the cylinder is less than that over which the tape is in contact with a non-rotatable guide element of the other tape guide located at an approaching side where the tape approaches the cylinder.

摘要： A tape loading mechanism of a video tape recorder includes a tape guide carrier for driving first and second groups of tape guides for pulling out withdrawing a tape from a cassette and winding the tape to a tape guide drum having an arcuate shape so as to rotate around the tape guide drum and drive the tape guide groups. The tape guide groups are mounted to end of the tape guide carrier and the carrier is disposed at the intermediate position of height between the first and second tape guide groups held by a positioning mechanism. Accordingly, the rotating plane of the tape guide carrier rotating around the guide drum is positioned between the first and second tape guide groups.

摘要： A locking device for a cover of a magnetic tape cartridge for locking a pivotable cover for covering magnetic tape inlet and outlet ports of the magnetic tape cartridge, including a projection formed on an arm for pivotally supporting the pivotable cover which is engageable with an engaging claw section of a locking member which further includes an operation section and a resilient section. The locking member is pivotally supported on a magnetic tape cartridge case and urged by the biasing force of the resilient section to bring the engaging claw section into engagement with the projection. The operation section of the locking member is located in a position in which it is capable of cooperating with an unlocking pin moved from three directions, to thereby give latitude to the process for loading a magnetic tape cartridge on a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus.

摘要： As a method of increasing the storage capacity of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing information to and from a magnetic tape in a cartridge, there is a helical scan recording method in which the magnetic tape is diagonally wound around a drum which rotates a magnetic head. With an apparatus adapted to this method, the disposition of the cartridge and the take-up reel for taking up the magnetic tape on the same plane arises a necessity of considerably bending the magnetic tape at the drum portion and, accordingly, the magnetic tape is damaged. In order to prevent the damage of the foregoing type, the tape passage surface from the cartridge to the drum and the tape passage from the drum to the take-up reel are formed by an angle at which the direction in which the magnetic tape is moved is changed due to winding of the magnetic tape around the drum so that the magnetic tape is not bent excessively. A threading device capable of three-dimensionally controlling the position of the magnetic tape in accordance with a predetermined tape passage is provided for the apparatus structured as described above. The threading device is formed by a link mechanism to be moved along the locus of a cam groove so that the three-dimensional position control can be performed.
