Abstract: Hair cleansing compositions and methods of use thereof. The hair cleansing composition comprising: (a) about 10 to about 20 wt. % of an sulfate based anionic surfactant; (b) about 1 to about 4 wt. % of amphoteric surfactant; (c) about 4 to about 10 wt. % of a plurality of nonionic surfactants, the plurality of nonionic surfactants comprising: (i) about 1 to about 1.5 wt. % of fatty alcohols, (ii) about 1.5 to about 3 wt. % of glucamide, and (iii) about 1.5 to about 5.5 wt. % of alkanolamide, (d) about 0.5 to 2.5 wt. % of an oil, wherein the oil is a non-silicone oil; and (e) water, wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the hair cleansing composition.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods, compositions, and kits for treating hair. The methods entail the use of multiple compositions, which can be incorporated into kits. The methods include: (I) optionally, cleansing the hair, for example, with a cleansing composition such as a shampoo; (II) optionally, treating the hair with a rinse-off conditioning mask, and rinsing the rinse-off conditioning mask from the hair; (III) applying a leave-on hair-treatment composition to the hair; (IV) without removing the leave-on hair-treatment composition, subsequently applying a leave-on hair crème to the hair; and (V) without removing the leave-on hair-treatment composition and the leave-on hair crème, styling the hair. The methods provide durable styling and conditioning benefits, frizz control/curl definition, and general hair manageability qualities.

Abstract: Disclosed are compositions for treating and cleansing keratinous substrates, comprising: a polysaccharide; a cationic polymer in an amount of at least 0.1% by weight based on the total weight of the composition; an anionic surfactant chosen from sulfonate surfactants, carboxylic (carboxylate) surfactants, and mixtures thereof; a polyol; and a cosmetically acceptable carrier. The compositions can additionally contain a glyceryl ester. Also, the compositions have a gel or semi-solid structure and texture. Disclosed are methods of treating and cleansing keratinous substrates using the compositions of the invention.
