Abstract:
A make-up emulsion composition includes an aqueous internal phase emulsified in an external fatty phase. The fatty phase includes at least one silicone oil, silicone resin, silica aerogel, spherical silica, clay, starch, pigment, and emulsifier. Methods of use are also provided.
Abstract:
A cosmetic applicator includes a container that stores a cosmetic composition, an applicator head having a linear or non-linear shape with a proximal end and a distal end, and a plurality of holes along or around the circumference of the applicator head, the distal end connected to the container. Further, the cosmetic applicator includes a plurality of slits along or around the circumference of the applicator head, the distal end connected to the container.
Abstract:
Cosmetic compositions comprise, (a) at least one aluminum-based starch, (b) at least one aluminum-based starch/(meth)acrylates polymer blend, (c) at least one polymeric filler, (d) at least one liquid fatty ester, (e) at least one silicone solvent, (f) at least one wax having a melting point greater than or equal to 70° C., (g) at least one wax having a melting point less than 70° C., (h) a coloring agent, and (i) optionally a filler other than (c); wherein the total amount of waxes ((f)+(g)) is less than about 5%. Methods for making up and/or enhancing the appearance of a keratinous substrate, such as the skin, comprise applying said compositions to the keratinous substrate, and included is a method of making the compositions.
Abstract:
Compositions including an aqueous phase emulsified within an external fatty phase comprising at least one silicone are provided. The compositions include iron oxide having a silane-treated surface, zinc-oxide having a silane-treated surface, a titanium dioxide-silica composite particulate, and hollow spheres of acrylic polymer.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to anhydrous cosmetic composition comprising a silicone oil; a spherical powder; a pigment; silicone emulsifier; hydrophobic silica particles; and a silicone resin, wherein the cosmetic composition is essentially free of water.
Abstract:
Disclosed are mascara compositions containing a first acrylates copolymer having a relatively low glass transition temperature (Tg) which is less than about 0° C., a second acrylates copolymer having a relatively high glass transition temperature which is between about 0° C. and less than about 60° C., wherein a mixture of the first and second acrylates copolymers has a Tg less than about 20° C., and a solvent. Also disclosed are methods for making the mascara and applying them to keratinous tissue such as eyelashes in order to enhance their appearance.
