Abstract: A composition contains: (a) at least one polyphenol; (b) at least one first cationic polymer with a molecular weight of from 5,000 to 450,000, preferably from 10,000 to 350,000, and more preferably from 50,000 to 250, 000, selected from chitosans; (c) at least one organic compound selected from the group consisting of ascorbic acid, gluconolactone, gluconic acid, glycolic acid, and mixtures thereof; and (d) water. The pH of the composition is from 3.0 to 5.0. The (a) polyphenol can be solubilized in the composition.
