Abstract: Yarn-treating apparatus including a rotatable applicator roll for treating an advancing strand of yarn and is movable between a retracted, operative position in which the roll is coupled to a drive mechanism and an extended, servicing position in which the roll is uncoupled from the drive mechanism. A supply trough provides treating material for the applicator roll and is adjustable for varying the depth of the treating material in the trough.
