    Abstract: A display device and a data compensating method thereof are disclosed. The display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of pixels; a color temperature compensation unit configured to determine a color temperature at each position of a light guide plate using a thermal conductivity of the light guide plate and a color temperature at a reference position of the light guide plate, and determine a color temperature compensation value at positions of the light guide plate using the color temperature; and a timing controller configured to correct at least one of an R gain value and a B gain value of the image data using the color temperature compensation value.

    Abstract: A timing controller including a memory unit configured to store image data with respect to p*q sub-pixels defined using p numbers of data lines and q numbers of gate lines, a reception unit configured to receive, from a host, (n+m)-bit image data with respect to each of two or more of the sub-pixels, a controller configured to generate pseudo control data corresponding to m-bit image data of the two or more of the sub-pixels, and an output unit configured to output n-bit image data with respect to each of the sub-pixels to a digital unit of a data driving unit, and output the pseudo control data to an analog unit of the data driving unit.

    Abstract: Provided is a data driver, a driving method of the data driver, and a display device. The data driver includes a latch unit configured to store n-bit image data, wherein n≥2; a conversion unit configured to convert N-bit digital data including the n-bit image data and variable m-bit pseudo control data into an analog voltage and then output the analog voltage, wherein m≥1; and an output unit configured to output a data voltage based on the analog voltage. The data driver is capable of supplying a high image quality based on N-bit digital data with a small circuit size that is based on n-bit image data.
