    Abstract: A foldable display apparatus includes a mid-layer having a hinge region; a panel on the mid-layer; a pair of set frames under the mid-layer; and a hinge portion connected to the pair of set frames, and moving as the panel is folded or unfolded. Since a sliding section of the panel in the hinge region is compensated for during the folding and unfolding of the panel, the size of a bezel that would otherwise accommodate a sliding section can be reduced.

    Abstract: A foldable display apparatus for minimizing a stress applied to a bending region of a flexible display panel is discussed. The foldable display apparatus includes a flexible display panel configured to display an image and including a first display area, a bending area, and a second display area, a first frame supporting a first rear surface of the flexible display panel overlapping the first display area, a second frame supporting a second rear surface of the flexible display panel overlapping the second display area, a first housing accommodating the first frame, a second housing accommodating the second frame, and a hinge module connected between the first housing and the second housing to support the bending area and to guide a bending of the bending area. The hinge module includes a hinge folding path disposed between a front surface and a rear surface of the flexible display panel.
