Abstract: In one aspect, a light emitting display device includes a plurality of subpixels on a substrate, each of the plurality of subpixels having a corresponding emission region, each of the plurality of subpixels having an outer interface with an n-gonal shape; a light emitting diode at each corresponding emission region and including an emission layer; and a plurality of arc-shaped light reflectors inside the light emitting diode and having a lower refractive index than a refractive index of the emission layer. The plurality of arc-shaped light reflectors are in a quasi-caustic region of the outer interface.

Abstract: A light emitting display device includes a bank that is on a substrate and includes an opening corresponding to each of a plurality of pixel regions of a display region. The display device includes an inclined reflective portion that is below the bank and disposed in each of the plurality of pixel regions. The display device includes a light emitting diode disposed in the opening. Each of the plurality of pixel regions is configured such that the corresponding opening and reflective portion have a cardioid-shaped structure with a cusp. The plurality of pixel regions include a pixel region in which the cardioid-shaped structure is located in a first azimuth, and a pixel region in which the cardioid-shaped structure is located in a second azimuth opposite to the first azimuth.

Abstract: A light emitting display device includes: a bank on a substrate and including an opening which corresponds to an emission region of a pixel region; an inclined reflective portion below the bank and disposed in the pixel region; a light emitting diode at the emission region and including an emission layer and first and second electrodes which are disposed below and on the emission layer, respectively; and a plurality of light reflectors inside the light emitting diode and having a lower refractive index than that of the emission layer, wherein a first interface between the emission layer and the bank is circular or elliptical, and the light reflector forming a second interface with the emission layer is linear, and wherein at least a portion of the light reflector is disposed in a caustic region which is a total reflection optical path region made by total reflection along the first interface.

The first type cardioid-shaped structure has a smaller rate of change in curvature than the second type cardioid-shaped structure.
