    Abstract: A backlight unit and a display device including the backlight unit are discussed. By arranging at least one electronic element for driving a light source and the backlight unit on a surface where the light source is disposed in a printed circuit and arranging a pattern having a reflective characteristic in an area where the electronic element is disposed, an image quality of the backlight unit can be maintained and a design structure of the backlight unit can be simplified. In addition, the light source and the electronic element can be disposed on a same surface of the printed circuit so that a space is not present between an opposite surface of the surface of the printed circuit where the light source is disposed and a cover bottom, so the performance of a heat dissipation can be improved in an area where the light source or the electronic element overlaps.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a backlight unit and a display device including the same. The backlight unit can reduce the number of light sources and can uniformly supply light to a region in which the light sources are disposed and a region in which the light sources are not disposed by arranging a reflective pattern on an upper surface of each light source to emit the light through a side portion of the light source and allowing the emitted light to travel by a light guide portion connecting between the light sources to be emitted above the light guide portion by a reflective layer positioned in a region between the light sources.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are related to a backlight unit and a display device, by disposing a filter reflecting a green light of a long wavelength on a color conversion sheet and disposing a filter reflecting a green light and a red light under the color conversion sheet, a wavelength band of a light supplied to a display panel is controlled and a color reproduction range may be improved while increasing a light efficiency. Furthermore, by disposing a sheet increasing an amount of a vertical light on the color conversion sheet, a wavelength band of a light reflected by a filter disposed on the color conversion sheet is controlled exactly and the backlight unit and the display device capable of a wide color gamut may be provided.

    Abstract: According to embodiments of the disclosure, it is possible to increase scattering effect and light reflectance in the area around the light source by increasing the ratio of the base layer exposed around the light source, which have protrusion patterns and have a higher reflectance than the cover layer and are positioned under the cover layer and the wiring layer of the printed circuit where the light source included in the backlight unit. Thus, there may be provided a backlight unit with enhanced light efficiency and image quality in the area around the light source and a display device including the same.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relates to a light path control element, a backlight unit and a display device, and by disposing, over one or more light sources, a light path control element including a first engraved patterns located on a surface through which light exits and located to correspond to respective light sources, and a second engraved patterns located on a surface into which light is incident and located in an areas between light sources, it is possible to improve functions of guiding and diffusing light emitted from the light sources.
