    Abstract: A gate driver and a display device are disclosed. The gate driver includes a plurality of signal transmitters dependently connected via a carry line through which a carry signal is applied from a previous signal transmitter, wherein an nth (n being a positive integer) signal transmitter includes a first circuit part configured to receive the carry signal from the previous signal transmitter and charge or discharge a first control node and a second control node; a second circuit part configured to output a gate signal based on voltages at the first control node and the second control node; and a selection portion configured to invert a voltage applied to a first node during a frame skip interval of a partial area in a pixel array driven at a predetermined frame frequency, and charge the first control node with a voltage of the first node.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an LCD device and a driving method thereof. The LCD device includes at least one source driving ICs configured to drive a plurality of data lines formed in a panel, a timing controller configured to generate a power control signal used to change a level of a driving voltage applied to the source driving ICs according to a pattern of an image output to the panel, and a driving voltage generator configured to generate a first driving voltage or a second driving voltage according to the power control signal to drive the source driving ICs. The first and second driving voltages have different levels.
