Abstract: An electroluminescence display can include a pixel on a substrate, and a light emitting element in the pixel. The light emitting element can include a first electrode, an emission layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the emission layer. The electroluminescence display can further include a light shield layer under the emission layer with a planarization layer there-between, where the light shield layer overlaps a first portion of the emission layer. A first distance is formed between the first electrode and the second electrode at the first portion of the emission layer. A second distance is formed between the first electrode and the second electrode at a second portion of the emission layer different from the first portion, and the first distance is smaller than the second distance.

Abstract: A display device includes a substrate on which a plurality of sub pixels are defined, each sub pixel having an emitting area and a non-emitting area. The first electrode includes a first convex and concave pattern formed in an area at the first opening.
